There's some regionals in a lot of states, and luckily, there's one in Atlanta, 2 hours from where I live. I'm so excited. Me and my friend are traning heavily and are both going. Who knows, maybe I'll have to face him. (June 5th)

Anyone else going to there state's regionals?

Edit- here's a list: http://www.pokemonvgc.com/en/events.php

RESULTS: Lost first match. But it will onl strengthen my resolve to perfect my strategies. I enjoyed my time.
I took a few pictures.

Embedded image

I saw a cosplayer as none other then Ash Ketchum.....from Georgia.

Embedded image

I want that. This is the registration line and the middle area is where the matches are held.

Embedded image

Two guys we chatted about strategies and the 5th gen all the way to the registration line. I knew I should have gotten a way to contact them later on

I saved my match as a battle video. The battle video # is 61-84306-13873

Half the time, I don't even know where these things are held.

If there's one nearby (usually they have them in San Diego or something) then I might go, but I've never done so in the past.

My dad says he'll take me to the one in New Jersey if I get no D's.

So I'll have to make sure I'll get F's instead of D's.

Well we are moving so we won't have any extra cash for plane tickets, otherwise I would have gone. Next year I will definitely go. Maybe if I'm lucky we could even drive there next year! I would be even cooler if I could meet one of you guys there.

If you won your regional, expenses are paid for the Nationals. (1st-16th place)

San Fransisco? Too far to drive. I'd have to fly and I can't afford a plane ticket for me and a parent to chaperone.

Ash, you're going, right? Keep us posted! I want to hear about what happens.

Maybe I should start a twitter? That would work best. I'm going to the Atlanta regionals.

Wish me luck.

Man, I understand that it's pointless and not cost friendly for people to hold things in not heavily populated cities...

But man do I wish they'd at least hold one near where I live. 3:

Maybe if you lived near a populated city, like me?
I live two hours away from it which makes it extremely convinient.
I was really surpised when I saw "Atlanta, GA" displayed. My eye twitched, then I rapidly sent a txt message to mah pkmn bud and sed "omfg timmy itz in gerrga"

It would be cool to go to one of these, but my parents would probably roll their eyes at the idea of driving me somewhere so that I could play Pokemon with complete strangers. Too bad too, since I could probably do well. Good luck Ash, and make us proud!

I guess you are.
My team, (since I'm training one for fun) has a Luxray named "Luxray13579" and I wanted one of my other Pokémon to be "Victoryroad.net", but I don't think it fits. I would make one "Floatzel.net", but its against the rules to have a Pokémon named after a different one....

It's gonna be double battle, not single. You don't wanna plan for a single team and have it be double. Copied straight from the website.

No its you alone and you use your Pokémon in a double battle, no partners. Belive me, it does say that.

Fixed double post.
It says so on the official VGC website. I was planning on going this year and last year so I know the rules.

Was it this pdf? http://www.pokemonvgc.com/en/pdf/reg...0Operation.pdf

And I go to the official site too.
So, to make sure, this is a 1v1 Double, right?

Yes 1 person pitted against the other with two Pokémon used per person at a time= EPIC.

Oh god, I hate 4v4 Doubles. They're over too quickly and you need to plan out more strategies. Good luck.

Well I've just lost my motivation to go, I really don't like competetiv double battles because of the big startagy change and it means I'll have to change my team.

2. The qualifiers are already happened.
