The Japanese has anouced that a DS suceceder, 3DS with 3D graphics will come out March 2011.

Well, at least we now have a code name and a predicted release date.

I believe it's called the '3DS'.

Yeah, yeah, it sounds awesome, and the ideas are almost limitless, but surely the DSi can do that already...?

Ooh, real 3-D! This is certainly going to be interesting.

So this is the next Generation of Nintendo handhelds? An interesting gimmick.

I probably won't buy it unless it's REALLY good.

This makes me wonder, if the "Newer" Pokemon Games are coming with this new 3DS.

So the new Pokemon game, (What was seen in the Zoroark game Poster)
Must be related to this 3DS.
But i hope this isn't another DSi Rip-off *cough* XL/LL *cough*
If this new DS, isn't a 100% DSi, and if its new with the idea.

...Well, for the folks who are saying "I may not buy it"...Dude, you'll be missing out. This is the successor to the DS line, not a new DS model. So all the people who didn't listen to me can EAT IT!

I think it's almost certain, then, that Game Freak is using this new handheld as the platform for the Gen V games. I would be surprised if that were not the case.

Confound it, that means I have to buy a new handheld... :'(

Hopefully when this comes out I'll have a job so I can pay for one.

Don't the systems have a language select? Hehe. Maybe there'll be some good Engrish in it...

By the way, it's called the 3DS, not the DS3D.

Anyways, I can't wait to see how things will work out with this new console. I just hope it shows a significant improvement over the current DS systems besides graphics.

WhI had that idea a while ago but no one noticed, it'll be like what they did with the first PMD.

Acctually sounds pretty cool! I'd be curious to see what it looks like, though. I just can't really picture it in my head.

Personally, I think Nintendo may've gone a bit far with all these new DS designs. The standard DS and DS lite were great, but the DSi just seemed a little expensive and a little pointless to me. Then came the new DSi XL. Which, again, I can't really say I saw much point in. And now this. I'd definately be interested to see what this one's really like before I jump to any conclusions, though.

Hey guys I just had a flash of brilliance idea;

The 3DS should have a new feature were you can record game play and put it on you SD Card.

this is what i think of the the 3ds. the code name is clever first of all, and second, I own a ds lite, so I may buy this interesting technology. Also, It depends on how much this costs. Probably around $200 AT LEAST. But can you imagine the possibilities nintendo just opened with this ds? Nintendo, lately, has been wanting older consumers, as many know. I THINK THEY JUST HIT JACKPOT... and with the pokemon games for it, it probably will do games for it eventually. Maybe not for the 3ds, since the 3ds is still so new, but who know? maybe they will. Nintendo has been using 3d graphics for Pokemon Pearl, Diamond, Platinum, Soul Silver, and Heart Gold. Obviously these may be hints. But as I said before, who knows? In my opinion, Nintendo is going somewhere with the ds, and it may be inspired by the wii. And if this is what they will be doing for the future ds system, imagine what the next WII will look like... and with that question, I will stop for you to think of the possibilities, not only for the DS, but also the WII...

i herd about the new handheld. it seems awesome but i just hope the 3d games dont come out pixalated

Anyone seeing that? I don't think they're going to make the exact same models (Lite, XL, etc) as the current DS, but I am certain they will release some newer 'versions' of it later on.

I had a dream...

...that it was a square with a big screen and it cost $400. Let's hope that isn't the case.

Now if the 3DS was able to do stuff like that, it would be really awesome!

Pokemon on the 3ds would be a reminiscent of pokemon stadium, but in more of a free- roam way, wouldn't it?

I also heard there might be Dual Touch Screens in the 3DS

So it'll be like 2 iPhones taped together.
