Besides, the trailer makes Pokemon look like some illegal item that you have to pay a buttload to get. Yeah... That's how we want to view Pokemon. Do you know how many enraged parents will complain if this crap were to come out? =/ "This isn't for kids!" "I'll never let my 9-year-old play these games again!"
This movie IS fake. It's a fan-film. Someone linked me this. It's the full trailer and doesn't look all that crappy.

Celadon City hasn't been the same since the Gyms closed down. Pokémon fighting has gone underground, and the sport has gotten a taste for blood. Ash, Misty, and Brock have been forced deep into the city's seedy underbelly to keep training, but the Pokémon aren't the only ones in danger. Now, Ash must choose to either become a master in the grim world of illegal pokémon fighting, or make a desperate stand to free them all from the criminal grip of Rocket Industries. Pokémon Apokélypse is a fan-trailer responding to the common trend of 'dark and gritty' reboots of popular franchises. An article about the production of Apokélypse will be available on Shogun Gamer shortly. I might watch the movie for the hell of it (if it is real), but even if it is a Real-Life Pokemon movie, the Pokemon need to look more like Pokemon, not a bunch of retarded looking Pokemon like Pikachu (He looks like a starving rat, Weezing looks googly eyed, Squirtle like he is on crack and gets his shell blown up and blood goes every where, Mewtwo, I cant even explain that, Gyarados looks like a robot, Snorlax like a F**ked up teddy bear), I mean WTF!!! Even if it turns out real, the people who made it doesnt know nothig about Pokemon, since it only has 1st Gen. Pokemon in it (some old fart played pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow and then 12 or so years later he went "I want to make a movie of Pokemon!"). That's what I think.
I gotta give them props for special effects, but please no big-budget movie. I don't wanna see a movie where Pikachu ACTUALLY DIES! Although, he is alive from the pokemon center from what I saw in the trailer. Thank god it's fake. I think this would still make a good youtube videos movie, better then a big-budget movie. Other then that, I hope it's like "There will be Brawl". I will see it only out of curiosity though.
I thought that was extremely... uncanny. Pokemon isn't made for live-action, it seems, and we're so accustomed to seeing it in the form of cartoons (or 3D video games like Colosseum). The production values didn't look hot at all, with the stiff and robotic model animations and cheesy acting and scripting (gosh, I hope none of the people who made this see my post
).
However, this got me thinking of the possibilities of a 3D animation, like the kind Pixar and Dreamworks make. If the Pokemon look just fine in the 3D games, then I think there wouldn't be a problem with a 3D animation, provided it's well-produced.
