Taking my first Printmaking class.
Thought it'll be fun to show off my work.
We had to do four plates: Landscape, Human Figure, Still Life and Abstract/Experimental.
Well, I already have three of the four plates done and it's not even mid-term.
I even have half of my starter plate left so I'm going to do a lot of tiny prints for fun and experiments.
They are a little large.
Has not been proofed so it's darker than the other plates

These are real cool! Good job on them. We did printmaking in Art once and it was fun but it was probably the lowest level of printmaking that you can have
![]() I think the Abstract one is the coolest, especially the way that you added shading to it. |

This is Printmaking I. It's the lowest that's offered, but it's still expensive. XD ($40 for the plate. $98 for the required supply kit [40% off too])
The Abstract is a redesign from one of my Design I projects. Once I get a new Card Reader, I'll take a picture of it. I left out some elaborate metallic swirls and spirals since I was trying to get the hang of the needle and not trying to stab myself with it. o_o! |

Zinc plate. :3
You cut off the size of your print, file the edges, coat it in hardground (liquid wax), etch out the picture, put it in acid, wash off the acid, clean off the wax, ink it up, scrap off the excess, soak your paper, ready the press, print your plate, let the paper dry for a couple hours.... Repeat.
I think the block is featured in my Printmaking III or VI. Someone did an Edgar Allan Poe/Raven/Nevermore print. o_O It. Looks. Awesome!
