Oh, well I may win this one considering the system I can tolerate is older than our own admins and probably older than 95% of all the VR members. I happen to have a working Atari 2600, and I have no problem playing the games on there, and I even enjoy it!
2 – Yoshi648, Cat333PokémonI can play older games no matter how far they go back. I really have no issue with them. There's maybe one or two I can't play because they haven't aged well. But those are mostly obscure games.
3 – Yoshi648, Cat333Pokémon, TwiggySeeing as I enjoy the NES and the Commodore 64, I really have no problem with really old games. In fact, I'm actually rather used to them. x3
2 – Yoshi648, Cat333PokémonI got an Atari 2600, a Magnavox Odyssey 500 and Commodore 64 so what do you think? ![]()
3 – Cat333Pokémon, Eagles, GalliumGrantIt's not really the age of the game that matters to me. It's what the developers did with what they had.
6 – Yoshi648, Fubab_107, Eagles, Luxray13579, Twiggy, GalliumGrantIf arcade games count, then I'd probably change my answer to before the 80s. I'm sorry, just not a fan of the Atari. But yeah, mainly NES and up is awesomesauce(except for SEGA CD*shudder*).
3 – Cat333Pokémon, GalliumGrant, JDxImpetusI like games when the NES came out, im sort of a old school person as i grew up when the NES was popular.

I love all of my games and systems. The farthest back I can recall is a mix of the PlayStation and arcade games. On my PlayStation I would frequently play arcade classics like Ms. Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Pole Position, and Phozon. It took a while but I also went to a real arcade and got to experience those, even though I sacrificed plenty quarters/tokens since I was and still am not very good at them
Although I've never owned one, I can tolerate anything from NES onward. Sorry, Atari.
2 – Cat333Pokémon, EaglesAs Cat has already mentioned, it's not about the console, it's about what the developers did with their games. I could find a NES game to keep me entertained for hours just as I could find an Xbox 360 game to disgust me to the point where I stop playing it in 5 minutes.

I very much enjoy NES games. I haven't really tried anything older, even with my presumably working Atari 2600. I think stuff from SNES/GEN era are my favorites.
