I opened a new savings account today. I wanted to get a checking so I won't have to bother my mom every time I wanted to get something online, but apparently banks don't do that for minors.

Well, now instead of having to have my dad sign withdrawal slips (Which he won't) I can withdraw from that account with my mom signing.

The Greater Rochester Area has gotten some nice weather lately. As far as I know, there's been no snow since early Spring!

Also I got Mega Man X yesterday. IT IS SO FUN.

Yesterday I taped a laser pointer to my airsoft gun. It's off-center (By a lot) so I'll have to think of a way to stabalize and calibrate it.

EDIT: Also when I was at the bank, I had the machine count my change, and I found out I had 10 cents in canadian money

Not sure how it got all the way down here though.

I get tons of Canadian money over here, probably because I live right next to the border. I think most of it seems to come from the local bowling alley.

I honestly have no clue what to say today. Other than revising Chemistry for the mid-term exam, I did not do any other significant thing. I want to watch some movie during this weekend (if I'm able to), as it will be the last weekend I'll have before the exams. Actually, starting from today onwards, I'll be studying every single day until the 16th of December, which marks the beginning of our Winter Break. :S

When I was little I used to collect quarters from every state too. I had like this map and you placed the quarter on the state it was from. I haven't collected them anymore though.

I don't really have time to apply for a job.

On top of school work, I have Winter Drumline practice Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Not to mention the occasional "Drumline Camp" which lasts all day on Saturdays. And there are the competitions every other Saturday.

I can't apply for a job until Spring, but I'm not too sure on how many people would employ a fifteen year old. It seems like you have to be at least sixteen to get accepted anywhere.

So like, we have a holiday on Wednesday due to the UAE's National Day, and our exams have been postponed till December 6th so that we get Sunday off, too. This gives us a four-day weekend to revise thoroughly for our first exams, which should be quite helpful.

In math right now we are doing imaginary numbers. It is easy but annoying, but all you have to do is remember that i squaed = sqroot of -1

Today has been a really rough patch for me, considering my vacation just ended today.

It's so cold today, especially with the wind chill factor working. My first class was being rowdy as usual, and in that class I realized I forgot my pencilcase. Luckily I found a small pencil in my backpack.

Next, the concepts that I've been being taught in Geometry Honors are starting to confuse me. It doesn't seem too difficult, but there's so much vocabulary for me to sink in in one day. Then the teacher breaks to us that our final exams are going to be taken before Winter Break, which really irritated me.

Then, in my after school program, I got fed up with my Math instructor. When I'm stuck on a problem, he always refuses to help, no matter how long I've been stuck on a problem. Then there's the other Math instructor who does help, but gives me a 5-minute-long lecture while doing so. I was stuck in that building for one and a half hours, compared to the usual 50 minutes.

Now I have a Biology test tomorrow, and this week is gonna be really busy for me because I have a Japanese proficiency test coming up (この試験はすごく難しいです)on Sunday, and its extremely difficult. Especially when you have to memorize 1315 vocabulary words along with proper grammar and proper sayings in certain situations, along with a listening and speaking session.

Hence, I'm not sure how active I will be. It's been a long day today, so I'm on for most of the night today, but tomorrow I won't be as free as well as Wednesday, and even Thursday. Things are gonna be tough for me from here on until the exams are over.

Well, all I can tell you is good luck on all of your exams! I'm glad mine aren't until around May or a little later, and as far as your math instructors, you should tell someone in higher position that they're not doing their jobs right because that one has no right to just ignore your questions for help.

Sorry for the late reply, but I have the pictures in my photo album if you want to look to see what the parade is like. The parade has a lot of performances, singers, and dancers. There are a lot of groups volunteering in the play such as the Sesame Street.

Man I got a lot of things going on this week. The school play I am in (I play as a stage manager but I change into different people) is this week so I have to stay afterschool for practice and plus I have a lot of homework on top of that.

What I hate about math is that as I learn math throughout my high school, I forgot the basic math since I took advance math. Also I find geometry more difficult than Algebra I & Algebra II. I believe it's because I hate geometry since it's pretty much shapes which I suck at. I love solving equations like quadratic expressions. I guess that's why I am good at chemisty.

Well people thought I was silly in Gym class.
We had to play squash. But since there were only 5 courts. We had to split it between us. While me and someone else were waiting for a court to open up, I went to the bag full of goggles I could put on my in front of my eyes. I got 15 on.
My gym teacher said this: "He's like that one Don't Drink and Drive ad where they keep putting glasses in front of the driver, Just like 'Don't Drink and play Squash'."

I got my Physics test back today with a mark of 95%. That is great, but one of my mistakes was a question I misread. I hate when that happens. :\

I also won the final round of the badminton tournament in the school. This is the first time I actually participate in a tournament/contest/event in my life. It is good that I actually won it. I assume it is going to be the last as well.

During the basketball match today, I got hit with the basketball in my face. My eye got injured, but it recovered quite soon. My nose, however, didn't recover, and it might take a couple of days to recover. It started bleeding when I reached my house and the mark is still there. I think that the major part of the hit was on my head, since as soon as I came back home, I got a headache and went to sleep. It is nice when you sleeping ignoring the IT exam that is coming and is so HUGE.

Today, I returned back exhausted from school due to my PE lessons, slept on the couch in my school uniform and then, after 1 hour and 30 minutes, woke up to my little brother's noises. You know what? Screw studying. I am not bothered to study any of the remainder subjects for my mid-year exams today, so I'll resume this tedious task tomorrow.

Speaking of school, I felt so happy today upon receiving my Physics test back; I was relieved to learn that I got a 98% on it, which is the highest mark in grade 10. Hopefully, I'll be able to score A's in all my mid-year exams, but it's a much more difficult job comparatively. Due to this, I'll be abandoning VR starting from Sunday until they finish on the 16th of December. :S

You should be thankful that your Math teachers/instructors actually know their subjects well, even if they refuse to help you. We have a Math teacher right now who has shown his limited experience in class quite well (although I should accredit his friendly personality); he struggles on most/all difficult questions and has to resolve to the 'guys at the back' (i.e, me and Spirit) to know the answers. Therefore, you can only imagine what his reaction will be if we get stuck on a question...

Well done on your physics tests, guys! And good luck on your mid-year exams!

Today was a strange day. I woke up to a small bit of snow, hardly enough to make a snowball, however. Later on, about an hour into school it snowed really heavily. I dare not leave the IT suites during breaks for fear of getting a snow-covered rock to the head. Not only that, but simply walking around school was dangerous, the floor was covered in slush and ice. We still had to go the whole day, and getting home wasn't easy, either. :I

I'd love the idea of facing such a day. I want to try it once rather than facing my way through dunes of sand!

1- Thanks for that.
2- Believe it or not, I like the idea of being 'stuck in school' due to something uncontrollable. Maybe I want to try such cases because I've never experienced them before, but I just feel like they're... adventurous and dramatic. As an example, I'd certainly like to know what will the situation be if a fire broke off in our school, as we never had that before. Of course, this example is much more serious than yours since I wouldn't want any property/students to be damaged/injured, so yeah... xD

Program something to try to calculate the value of π. Also, it's a good idea to program in physics formulae, if you take that.

I wish I was there! We never get snow over here so everytime I see it I have a JAD moment!
You should've made it like a Bear Grylls adventure on your way home, we could record it and call it "Nin VS Wild".
Overall I think it's awesome you got a bit of snow, it's better than it being hot.

Like this? (note I haven't done this in over two years, so consider this somewhat psuedo code):

INPUT(X) -> X

WHILE(X<100)
DISP((100-X) . "LEFT TO GO.")
END

DISP("WE'RE DONE! TI-84 ROCKS!")
DISP("ACTUALLY THE AUTHOR FINDS THE T1-84 CONSIDERABLY OVERPRICED AND STUPID. YOU COULD GET A CRAPPY CHINESE-MADE TABLET COMPUTER RUNNING ANDROID AT WALGREENS FOR 10 DOLLARS MORE!")

Actually, calculating pi is a very good programming exercise, and is possible with even basic languages. You're using TIBASIC like (I tried to do) above, right?

Our school celebrated the UAE National Day today, since tomorrow (the actual day) is a holiday for all the citizens across the country. The celebrations weren't particularly spectacular, but the day in itself was a lot of fun; we missed many classes and actually went outside in our Math lesson, where we played soccer against our teacher. I also got to say a speech made by the head of building on the occasion because I'm the Literary Club Chairperson. It wasn't exactly interesting, but at least I contributed towards the event in some way.

As I was standing outside school at the end of the day, waiting for someone to pick me up, loads and LOADS of people fell over on a patch of ice near me. It was VERY funny! Someone wheeled a bike across it and fell, someone was carrying a lasagne in a tin and fell, someone even had a guitar and amp and fell! xD They were all right, but it was a blast to watch!

And yes, I slid around on it, and yes... I fell over, too!

I want to live somewhere closer to the US. It sounds like so much stuff goes on there, what with the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade last week. We don't have any big festivals like that, hardly anything interesting actually goes on here. Oh, and the people who run the country are all old and boring and generally not very good.

I like London actually (in terms of the city). The Big Ben and all the old-fashioned buildings. I love them. Also, it is the country of Sherlock Holmes! How can't I like London?! Honestly, Dubai is too advanced. Although we had like streets where buildings are over 100 floors and the longest tower in the world, but the thing is, that they are too advanced that you can't see the amusement of agriculture in it. I don't really like that. Maybe it is because I am living in Dubai so I don't find it that entertaining.
But seriously, Canada is cool as well. I have seen a lot of pictures where snow is so thick. I will go to Canada (and Britain) one day; when I grow up, and when I get some money in my wallet.

I have been watching for the last two hours videos for Ray William Johnson. With no argument, he has the best videos in youtube. I love his videos. I will continue them tomorrow, and I advice those who don't watch them to do so.

Actually it's more like

:Prompt A
:Prompt B
:Prompt C
:(-B+square root sign(B^2-4AC))/2A

And calculating Pi already has a button and is as simple as dividing two numbers. I want actual formulae here.

Also I added celcius-farenheit and back conversions.

Yeah, same here. I'd love to visit London some day because it seems like a really interesting city to me. Actually, my dad put me in a British school due to his fondness of Britain, describing it as a touristic landmark which has a unique history.

Nin, I'm guessing you don't like it very much because you got used to it, but believe me, one of my ambitions once I grow up is to visit London and Europe in general. Visiting the USA is a lot harder, since it is too far away from the UAE, so unfortunately it is more unlikely.

The last sentence said it all. Dubai is actually one of the best destinations for entertainment in the world, and it's hard to deny that with all the technological progression rapidly taking place. Eventually, however, and after living in it for a long time, you will start to become bored of the usual places which you visit, and wish to travel abroad and explore more countries of the world. Despite that, I'd like to point out that you haven't yet visited every single landmark in the UAE, including Atlantis and The Ferrari World.

I think that you like natural lands because you come from a less advanced place. That's the same case with me, too. But unlike you, I'm grateful that there is a balance between the modern life in Dubai and the not-so-modern life in my home city. I feel like they both complement each other quite well, so I don't have a problem with that. Besides, the UAE still has dozens of parks which you can visit...

Today was CRAZY! My cousins and I joined in the celebration of the National Day at a main street by a famous lake, and the people there were all maniacs; EVERYONE was spraying other peoples' cars or bodies with snow sprays and buying numerous bottles at the same time from supermarkets. We were literally going around the streets and spraying people and their cars while we got covered in spray, too. The situation was so ecstatic and soon enough almost everyone we walked beside had sprays in their hands. We especially enjoyed spraying girls on the street or in their cars and hearing them scream/laugh out of complete mess and excitement. XD

At the end, and after about an hour, the police came and cleared away the huge traffic jam, stopping every person/car from using sprays or confetti. They kept on monitoring the street and its common divisions even after we left my uncle's house and returned back to our peaceful area. If I was actually bothered or even able to take pictures of the street which was covered in so much confetti and spray remains, I would've shown you guys how crazy the situation was.

That's pretty funny how they allow to spray paint everywhere without getting in trouble and also really fun.

The school play went well last night and it was really fun. We made minor mistakes but no one notices it. I am really tired from the play since we have to miss half the classes to practice because some of the members are gone for the dress rehearsal and forgot the lines. Not to mention I already stress out from homework and other stuff. But thank goodness there's one more night to perform. The play is about a guy name George who doesn't realize he is in a play and doesn't know his lines and from time to time, the actors gave hints to him to keep the play going. I play as a stage manager, the maid, and the daughter of the same guy in jail.

I only got a detention twice in my school; the first time was in grade 8, where I accidentally pulled the chair from under another student and he got hurt. The teacher in the detention room was our English teacher who favoured me a lot, so he allowed me to eat and talk and do whatever I wanted. The other time was in grade 9, where I, along with Spirit and a couple of our friends, wrote our names on the gym floor during an assembly out of boredom. While the others had to scrub at the names because they were caught first, Spirit and I were called later because one of our friends complained that the 'good students' always don't get punished. Fortunately, they had already cleaned what we wrote when we arrived, so we didn't have to do it in front of any students. However, we still had to write our names in four columns on eight papers during the activity lesson and break time. XD

XD
I think I've gotten detention only 3 times.

The first time was when I was in the 4th grade and I kept on forgetting my homework so she made me stay after and copy from the dictionary.

The other times were because I forgot my school ID badge, it's just an overstrict and stupid rule.

The teacher made you copy the WHOLE dictionary?!

If I forget my ID at school I get a full day detention. It's really stupid. .-.

I once got a one-minute detention in 8th grade for saying, "You spelled graham crackers wrong" during a test. It was really random.

When I got a detention one time, I had a bag of chips and was trying to eat them. The teach flipped out, Yelling at me saying I didn't deserve snacks in it...Despite the person next to me was in detention was eating a sandwich.

I never have actually gone to detention per se...'cause I've been a good boy.
No, seriously, I don't know why I've never been to detention. I was really rowdy back when I was in elementary school. D:

In grade 4 I was forced to stay in countless times from recess because I forgot to get my mom to sign my agenda. It was actually part of one of my plans because one, I was always bullied at recess and two it was winter I didn't want to freeze like the others. I got in big troble last year for sayin "Too bad" under my breath to myself. We had a sub who had it out for us, truthfully. He told us to behave I muttered "Too bad" and landed a near expulsion when he told me VP I said "Eff that". Fortunately I'm not on the naughty list so they believed me instead of that bafoon.

NEVER tell a teacher that they're wrong. You will only lose.

Plus your teacher is lulzy.

We don't even have school ID cards over here. Judging from your posts, I guess that's a good thing after all.

A one-minute detention? Seems like a very ridiculous punishment. xD

Actually, once I corrected my English Language teacher on a minor mistake in class, and he told me: "Well done, *insert real name here*."

I got one detention in my life and that's the one Shadow mentioned. It wasn't bad actually, and we enjoyed it making fun of our P.E teacher.

It depends on the teacher.
