I need some suggestions for my Torneos' moveset. I finallly caught it. It knows its 4 default moves, Revenge, Air Cutter, Extrasensory and Agility.
Currently, my team consists of:
Daikenki
-Swords Dance
-Slash
-Aqua Tail
-Water Pulse
Baokkie
-Incinerate
-Fire Blast
-Bite
-Yawn
Reshiram
-Cross Flame
-Extransensory
-Dragon Pulse
Pupitar
-Crunch
-Trash
-Dark Pulse
-Retribution/Payback (Whichever the english one is)
Shinbora
-Psychic
-Sky Attack
-Reflect
-Light Screen
I'm thinking of something with Fly and something else to take advantage of its high speed and offensive stats. Any other suggestions to my teams movesets would be helpful too. I'm not much of a competitive battler, so I dont know many tactics and whatnot, I'm hoping to get into that stuff though. Any recommendations anyone?
|
I've decided what movesets they'll have and added a few more Pokemon. (I know it's more than six.)
Pokabu Ability: Blaze Nitro Charge Head Smash Wild Bolt Toxic Rankurusu Ability: Magic Guard Psychic Shadow Ball Recover Substitute Onondo Ability: Rivalry Dragon Dance Dragon Claw Poision Jab Shadow Claw Warubiru Ability: Intimidate or Overconfidence (Doesn't matter which) Claw Sharpen Earthquake Trickery Stone Edge Basurao Ability: Adaptability Crunch Aqua Jet Taunt Flail Denchura Ability: Compoundeyes or Tension (Doesn't matter which) Thunder Wave Bug Buzz Agility Electra Ball Kojofuu Ability: Inner Focus or Regeneration (Doesn't matter which) Fast Guard Calm Mind Aura Sphere Stone Edge Abagoora Ability: Solid Rock or Sturdy (Doesn't matter which) Aqua Tail Curse Rock Slide Giga Impact Hiyappu Ability: Gluttony Boiling Water Acrobat Shadow Claw Cheer Up |
)I've posted here before, but I've decided to change my team for White.
Pre-National Dex Team
|
After a long time renovating this, I now have my new team. I'm only going to put moves here so I don't spoil every trick up my sleeve.
)Tepig Flare Blitz Gyro Ball Wild Charge Defense Curl Reuniclus Psychic Shadow Ball Recover Substitute Fraxure Dragon Dance Dragon Claw Brick Break Shadow Claw Krokorok Hone Claws Earthquake Crunch Stone Edge Basculin Crunch Aqua Tail Ice Beam Thrash Galvantula Electra Net Bug Buzz Agility Electra Ball Mienfoo Fast Guard Bounce Hi Jump Kick Stone Edge You may wonder why I don't have many "powerful" Pokemon. To make a long story short, it's not like I don't know what I'm doing. |

EDIT: when i try :samurott: and :klinklang: and :simipour: how come they don't work?
|
I'm trying to plan my next run with Black. My current idea for a team is:
Emboar
Eelektross
Escavalier
Jellicent
Archeops
???
I can't decide who my last spot should go to. Right now I'm debating between Stoutland, Sawsbuck and Druddigon although I'm open to other options. Thoughts anyone?
EDIT: I'm also considering Simisage. I just realized a glaring weakness in my team, that being that I won't have a permanent team member until after 3 badges (Archen). So I need something that comes early on (Preferably between gyms 1 and 2) and can be a permanent team member as opposed to being useless later on.
I'm catching every wild Pokemon in each area and training it to the level of the rest of my team. That way, instead of having a set team, I can rotate between any Pokemon I have in my reserves to create new teams ![]()
It reminds me a bit of Gary and how he caught over 200 Pokemon really easily. That, and N because of how awesomely he goes about choosing Pokemon.
EDIT:I guess I'll post my "team" via occasional edits to this post. So far, my team consists of Dewott, Herdier, Watchog, Liepard, Pansear, Munna, Pidove, Blitzle, Timburr, Tympole Throh, Audino, Sawk, Petilil, Sewaddle, Venipede, and Panpour (I'm training them all at once, though as a result my progress is slowed, but in a way it'll let me enjoy the games over a longer period of time anyway. I thought it may be way too much work, but luckily most of the Pokemon I catch first appear at a level near my team's, so they're easy to level up)

This is my party right now. I'm planning on getting a Fire type, but I don't know how soon that'll happen. I just beat Castelia's Gym and my Pokémon are a little under leveled due to type advantage. I've just been destroying gyms based on type...I don't know, give it a look:
Blitzle Lv.17
Purrloin Lv.17
Panpour Lv.17
Sawk (nicknamed Spawk) Lv.19
Servine Lv.20
Tranquill Lv.22
I think I'm going to ditch my Purrloin once I catch a Fire type. I like to have a pretty easy party: The three primary types (G/F/W), a Flying type, an Electric type and a Wild card. My wild card in this case is my Sawk. Can anyone tell me how soon I'll run into a fire type?
|
I would definately say Zebraika. Unless you love electric types, having two is just useless.
(By the way, I noticed many people are choosing the same pokemon on this forum) |

My current team is as follows:
Lancelot, the Serperior Amoeboss, the Duosion Zaprantula, the Joltik Lagann, the Drilbur (lol stealing Lite's idea) and The Rev, the Gigalith. The sixth member is as of yet undecided, but I'm in desperate need of a Fire-type or something. |
Okay so right now I have Emboar, Munna, Golduck (HM Slave), Reshiram, Pawniard, and Haxorus.
My only plans are to evolve Pawniard and then fix up some movesets, specifically Munna and Emboar. Might use a couple of these dues competitively but I'll do a whole different team with specific EVs eventually.

1 – ShinyOnce I get my Black Version back, I want to start a new run. I have a basic framework but can't decide. Right now I'm bouncing between three somewhat similar teams:
Serperior
Seismitoad or Carracosta
Galvantula
Chandelure
Haxorus
Swoobat
Samurott
Chandelure
Galvantuna
Haxorus
Swoobat
Leavanny or Ferrothorn
Emboar
Galvantula
Golurk
Haxorus
Swoobat
Leavanny or Ferrothorn
I can't decide which to use ;_;

Serperior Seismitoad or Carracosta Galvantula Chandelure Haxorus Swoobat This team has three weaknesses to Ice and three weaknesses to Rock, which makes it unbalanced. Samurott Chandelure Galvantuna Haxorus Swoobat Leavanny or Ferrothorn This team is a little better than the first one, but it still suffers from three weaknesses to Rock. The number of immunities/resistances is good, but you only have one resistance to Rock. Emboar Galvantula Golurk Haxorus Swoobat Leavanny or Ferrothorn I think it's a tie between this team and the previous one. You have three weaknesses to Ice over here, but the immunities/resistances are still good (although you have one resistance to Ice only) I can't decide which to use ;_; |
|
Comments in bold. I think that Swoobat is the one who's giving you those weaknesses to Rock and Ice, which is why I think you should change it (maybe use Seismitoad instead?). Nevertheless, I recommend choosing either the second or the third one, whichever one you prefer.
Oh, and by the way, I hope you're aware that the Pokémon you chose are not found really early in the game... |
My White team had a x3 weak to Ground and a 3x weak to Fighting and it was never a problem, so I think I can make do. I might switch out Swoobat for Musharna, I dunno yet.
1 – ShadowYES! I got a Liberty Ticket! I thought I wouldn't get it in time.
So, here's my Victini's moveset (I didn't get to Castelia City yet, but still.)
Victini
![]()
Searing Shot/Flare Blitz
Psychic/Zen Headbutt
Thunder
Shadow Ball
And also I won a Leafeon from the brick breaker thing on Pokemon.com, so I'm going to put it's moveset here as well.
Leafeon
![]()
Leaf Blade
Swords Dance
Synthesis
X-scissor
*sigh* Pokemon White is so awesome.

Don't you think that having two Pokémon of the same type is a bit unnecessary. You can replace one of them with a type you still don't have. What is the point of having two fights or two fires? You don't even have water, which is not advisable, since water is a great offensive type. I suggest to substitute some of your members with other types you need to cover.
|
|
Well, I actually have two water types in my PC, a Palpitoad and a Tirtouga, but I don't really have much of a need for them, really. If I were to lose one of my team, it'd be Pignite. I find it less useful than a Litwick and a Throh. I'd probably put in Palpitoad, I see it as stronger than Tirtouga.
|
As of beating the E4 (excluding Reshiram/Zekrom) my team was:
Black-
Samurott- Naussica
Ferrothorn- Deku
Victini- Kittan
Haxorus- Viral
Golurk- Dai-Gurren
Zebstrika- Blitzkrieg
White-
Emboar- Gurren
Excadrill- Lagann
Seismitoad- Frogger
Simisage- Broccoli
Reuniclus- Metroid
Hydreigon- Ridley
My competitive team is going to replace Seismitoad and Simisage with the other two starters.
I need a critique on my current planned team for Black. I'm getting ready to fight the league.
Timid Serperior
Leaf Storm - powerful STAB attack
Gastro Acid - eliminates annoying abilities like Cofagrius's Mummy
Giga Drain - STAB grass-type plus healing
Dragon Tail - dragon-type plus forced switchout of the opponent
Brave Emboar
Heat Crash - STAB fire-type, plus strong against lighter opponents
Grass Knot - grass-type, plus strong against heavier opponents
Brick Break - decent fight-type move that can break barriers
Scald - water-type move that can cause an attack-lowering Burn
Brave Luxray
Wild Charge - very powerful STAB electric attack
Crunch - dark-type attack
Volt Switch - STAB electric-type plus switchout
Ice Fang - ice-type attack to take advantage of Luxray's high ATK stat
Calm Gothitelle
Heal Block - Mainly for trainer battles. Blocks those annoying Hyper Potions
Psychic - strong STAB psychic-type
Trick Room - meant to augment Gigalith
Shadow Ball - ghost-type attack
Adamant Gigalith
Stone Edge - powerful STAB rock-type attack with a high critical-rate chance
Explosion - overly-powerful move altogether.
Earthquake - ground-type move
Rock Polish - Greatly speeds up Gigalith in case Trick Room fails
Modest Zoroark
Night Daze - power STAB dark-type attack with chance of lowering accuracy
Extrasensory - psychic-type move
Nasty Plot - boosts Zoroark's already high S.ATK stat
Flamethrower - fire-type move
I'm trying to go for type-coverage, which this team does. Switched Swanna for Zoroark, but gonna train Swanee for convenient travel.
EDIT: The Luxray's a DW Luxray btw, so it can have Guts, Intimidate or Rivalry
EDIT2: Thanks A'bom for your input
1 – CyrusWell, I've been thinking for a while and I've decided that I wanna be a Dark-type user. I'm still gonna be using my original party, but when I battle others, I'm gonna use my Battle box which is full of Dark-types, such as:
Zoroark
Hydreigon
Weavile
Houndoom
Mightyena
and Bisharp.
What do you think? Tell me if I should replace any... THE REPLACEMENT MUST BE DARK, PLEASE.

I think you're team is great, but why dark over every other pokemon? And if I do have one pokemon that you should replace, it should be houndoom with Drapion.

1 – Shadow|
I played through black first. my team is currently:
Samurott lvl 73 Foongus lvl 71 Chandelure lvl 76 Vanilluxe lvl 69 Krookodile lvl 72 Scrafty lvl 79 My team on white: Espeon (shiny) lvl 61 Lapras lvl 59 Ninjask lvl 60 Serperior lvl 60 Arcanine lvl 59 Froslass lvl 60 |
Having just restarted White, I'm not very far.
My planned team, tho, is
Samurott
Chandelure
Lilligant
Scrafty
Sigilyph/Swoobat
I don't have a 6th Pokemon in mind atm, any suggestions?
Also, I can't decide between Sigilyph and Swoobat. Both are the same type and both have basically the same moveset to choose from. Any reasons why I should pick one or the other would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! ![]()

1 – Shadow|
Sigilyph can have Magic Guard, which blocks indirect damage. Not to mention, it has better stats and make great use of a strategy involving the following moveset (not that it requires some breeding):
Psycho Shift Roost Stored Power Calm Mind (Holding a Flame Orb) |
I think I'm gonna make a serpent team. I've been thinking about a chess based team, a final fantasy team. but since I'm too lazy to do any of them, I think I might just do a quick sepent team. Besides, I was wondering how good an Eviolite Dragonair would do. I would share my team, but if I did, I'd have to kill you afterwards. Be lucky I gave you the Eviolite dragonair leak.
Edit: but seriously, made a lunar based team. It is my team of choice. If you want to know more about it, you must battle me.
My original white team was
LV 58 Emboar
LV 73 Volcrana
LV 78 Kyurem
LV 68 Metagross
LV 50 Absol
LV 50 Zangoose
My planned team for my reset is
Electrivire
Tangrowth
Zekrom/Thundurus/Zapdos
Alakazam/Reuniclus
Absol/Zoroak(If i can get it)
Rotom/Dugtrio
Aparently you can get Zoroak if you have a legendary dog in you team (any not just event)
|
my team is
Mewtwo lv 100 darkrai lv 100 empoleon lv 100 zoroark lv 100 salamence lv 100 blastoise lv 100 can anyone tell me what they think or how i can make my team better |
Right now I have:
Chocolate, the Vanillite
Minnie, the Minccino
Sigilyph (cuz it can Fly; if i didn't want Fly, I wouldn't be using it)
Silky, the Leavanny
Vinny, the Scraggy
and Charlie, the Dewott (cuz Samurott looks like Charlie the Unicorn)
If I could, I'd use Emolga (cuz it's remids me of Rocky from "Rocky & Bullwinkle"), Joltik (cuz it looks cool), Braviary (cuz it looks like a BEAST!!!), Litwick/Lampert/Chandelure, Pawniard/Bisharp, Mienfoo, Ducklett/Swanna (but I already have a water pokemon!!) and a couple other ones I can't think of at the moment.
I've had White since March 6th 2011, but I restarted it today for various reasons.
I've been debating over if restarting was a good idea or not.
After looking at it, I think it was a good idea after all, because restarting means creating a new Global Link account.
That means I was able to tell Global Link I lived in United Kingdom, even though I live in Canada and use a North American game, so I can get the Dream World Mamoswine and the Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise C-Gear skins (And hopefully get more European Global Link events in the future.)
My team:
Samurott: surf, swords dance, aqua jet, retaliate
Leavanny: bug bite, leaf blade, swords dance, and the last attack will switch between shadowclaw and x-scissor in need
Sigilyph: psychic, air slash, miracle eye, fly
Excadrill: earthquake, sandstorm, swords dance, rockslide
Sawk: brick break, double team, bulk up, retaliate
Darmanitan, fire punch, work up, headbutt, flare blitz or hammer arm, haven't decided.
This is for my white play through, but will probably make changes when I can start battling online (:
Any opinions/suggestns ? :b
Okaiz, so.
Wosher (Samurott) Lvl. 36: Aqua Jet, Surf, Revenge, Encore
