Hello everyone! Welcome to the second version of the art contest which was previously held in the month of June! Since it was a huge success the last time, Spirit has decided to make it a daily event in the forums. This time, however, he has chosen me as his co-assistant to help in running the contests and make them fun for everyone. We certainly hope that you will enjoy your time!

Overview
Members are supposed to make a post in this thread if they want to participate in the contest. All contestants are asked to draw one picture (not more than that) by themselves without any external help, such as from another person or computer software. Anything which seems offensive or is related to nudity or pornography will cause the contestant to be disqualified and possibly infracted. You can use any medium you want to draw, including pencils, color pencils, oil pastels, water colours and paint.

How to send in the picture
You can scan or take a picture of your drawing and then upload it to a site like Photobucket. After that, you have to send a link of the image to the judges via a PM so that they can rate it. Drawings posted in this thread will be ignored.

This time, however, contestants will be following a specific theme in their drawings. In honour of Pokémon Black and White's close release date, the theme for this contest will be Generation V Pokémon. You can choose any Pokémon that you want to draw from the revealed Pokémon, excluding Hiyappu, Baoppu, Ononokusu, Desukan, Denchura, Darumakka, Tabunne and Hatooboo (for image quality purposes). Good sources include Serebii's list of 5th Generation Pokémon and Aragornbird's Pokémon Factory. (Remember to give credit!)

Judging
The judges for this contest are:
-The Spirit of Time
-Shadow

It has been decided that judges are not allowed to participate in the contest. This makes the judging fairer, and gives a chance for all members to win.

Here's the list of criteria on which the judges will base their ratings:

-Creativity - 3 points: This includes the background, scenery and pose of the Pokémon. It's recommended that you change the pose of the Pokémon by changing the direction of its head, raising/lowing its arm(s), or doing other minor stuff like these to it. This helps to give you more points. Remember: tracing is strictly not allowed and will result in disqualification. The judges can easily recognize traced drawings, so please don't try to do it.

-Quality and details of drawing - 4 points: This is the most important part of any drawing. The Pokémon should look normal and not weird as well as matching and not corrupted. To sum it up, the picture should be well-drawn all around with no major flaws.

-Shading/colouring - 3 points: The way you colour/shade your drawing will be rated in this category. It should be consistent and detailed throughout, and must not look too flat. Try to make it as realistic and appealing as possible.

-1st place: Adamant, TRU Arceus holding a Life Orb.
Choice of moveset: Judgement, Roar of Time, Spacial Rend, Shadow Force.

-2nd place: Male, Adamant, WORLD08 Lucario holding TM75 Swords Dance.
Moveset: Force Palm, Bone Rush, Sunny Day, Blaze Kick.

3rd place: Male, Modest, level 1 Piplup with no held item.
Moveset: Agility (egg move), Substitute, Surf, Grass Knot.

All prizes will be provided by Shadow.

Although I may pass this time, Since I haven't really had time to draw good recently.

Sure, I'll have a go. Haven't drawn in a long time, I've got an idea in mind for this, though. Probably won't have it ready for a couple of days though...

When are we supposed to post our art? I have a phone picture of mine but it's kinda crappy, gonna try to scan it later.

But do we just post it when we have a pic?

Note, however, that uploading to a VR album forces a resize to 640x480 (I think). So if you want a picture at a high resolution, I suggest uploading to Photobucket or Imageshack.

Oh crap I forgot my time zone is different from his tiime zone. Eh it's not the end of the world if I couldn't able to enter the contest.

Actually, I've already added Kirby's name to the list. Therefore, he's in the contest.

Also, I'm locking this thread because the deadline has passed already. All contestants must submit their entries via a PM to the judges before September 14th, which is the last day for accepting any drawings.
