A new image has leaked on 2ch, showing a photo of a box given out in Japan. It features Yanappu and two new Pokémon: Hiyappu and Baoppu. They are a trio of Pokémon: Yanappu is grass-type, Hiyappu is water-type and Baoppu is fire-type. Yanappu and Hiyappu are both seen and look similar (Though Hiyappu is blue), but Baoppu is unseen. It can be assumed that it too is a monkey like the others.

I barely see it but this probably explains Dento's gym badge.

This is like an indirect confirmation that Dento will be using those trio against you in his gym. Remember that his gym contains questions about Fire, Water and Grass types, and that his badge has red, blue and green jewels. All this means one thing: Dento will not specialize in any certain type, so our first gym leader will have a diverse team. This is going to be amazing!

yea i think so to because his badge has a green, red, and blue diamond in it, also this must mean that the gyms have multiple pokemon types other than focusing on a single pokemon type.

If Dentos gym will contain that, I'll be happy to see the variation between gyms instead of the average 1 type.

It seems that I am going to be stuck in the first gym. Honestly, battling the three elemental types isn't that easy. However, I am really happy with these 3 monkeys.

Three monkeys? I'm not so sure. I honestly don't really like the idea. :/

Cool! I knew Dento would be a Fire/Water/Grass-leader since they showed the video of with his gym but didn't expect there to be a specialty group of Pokémon for him to use.

How many primates are in this generation? We already have Hihidaruma. With Hiyappu, that's 2 fire-type monkeys. Is the entire Pokedex going to be this repetitive?

Oh geez this is going to be a huge pain. XD I like the idea of having a multi-type gym, but not the first one! This is going to be a challenge, since early in the game anything with an elemental type is pretty good.

Maybe they did this so all of the starters would have an equal chance of beating the first gym? In Kanto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, Fire-types had it pretty bad at Gym 1...

Don't we already have a fire monkey Pokemon already, it seems to me that they are running out of ideas.....

And I'm not talking about Hihidaruma, I'm talking about Infernape.....

How can you NOT know what ***** is? Have you been living under a rock for the past five years? o_O

As for the monkeys... I guess we'll have to see. I don't like the idea, but I don't hate it either.

The entire unseen amount of the pokedex will be full of pokemon based off of primates, where all the ones that we have seen evolve into some primate formed pokemon. Generation 5 will thus set a trend where all further pokemon will be monkeys, of random elements.

I believe that these monkeys replace the Eeveelutions, especially that Gen V is a whole fresh new start.

But, Eevee already exists. Are you saying that you think they'll be THE Eevee of Gen V?

It seems so. If you see the released Pokédex, you will notice that there are some Pokémon that resemble Eevee somehow, and these monkeys are some of them.
