Someone in my family has a habit of leaving food in her room, possibly for days. This time, she came to my room and handed me a bowl of cereal. She said,

"You might not want to smell it."

By god, she was right. The milk had gone sour and eventually cheesy, and I won't repeat how bad the stench was. That repulsive bowl of cereal is the perfect bio-terrorist weapon. I couldn't even see the milk yet because the cereal had swollen to cover the entire bowl's surface. Meanwhile, I had to walk all the way downstairs to the kitchen sink, enduring the crippling stench.

I had the misfortune of taking the bowl of doom downstairs. Once I got to the sink, I poured the contents in. The milk had gone rubbery and pockets of air were forming (possibly from fermentation). The whole, utterly disgusting mixture looked like rice pudding.

This is going to leave a scar on my mind. I pray to god that she doesn't combine food and the effects of time again...and walk into my bedroom and hand me any more "experiments."

Sorry if I sound verbose.

Why did you have to deal with it? I would have thrown it at her.

This is disgusting :/
But why did you have to throw it away rather than your sister?

I'm glad I don't have a sister. Just a 7-year-younger brother who can't read yet.

Because she would have just left it to fester in my room...and then I would have to call a fumigator. If I threw the bowl at her, it would have spilled all over my carpet and my bed.

A few weeks ago, she handed me a half-eaten spaghetti microwave meal that had mold growing on it. She expected me to take it downstairs.

That bowl of cereal, I just learned, had been in her room for two whole weeks. It was full of bacteria. I know this because I studied fermentation in Biology. When you see air bubbles in milk, you know that something's in there.

EDIT: She didn't get away with it, though. She had to wash that bowl in the sink as a punishment (and all the other dishes). She had to wash every single cup and plate and cram as many as she could in the dishwasher, while washing the rest by hand.

Later, I'm going to wash those dishes properly because she tends to cut corners (in fact, there are days where she doesn't even use soap).

I don't think "yogurt" can be applied to a mass of spoiled milk infused with cereal.

What cereal was it anyway?

And what kind of milk?

Describe the bowl.

Cereal: Special K (possibly with dried fruit)

Milk: Probably semi-skimmed (we get most of our milk delivered to us in glass bottles.

Bowl: A bowl shaped like a hemisphere, with blue and white stripes.

Smell: Smelled like Sheldon, Ed's lucky cheese chunk.

It seems to be rotten past the point of edibility, so I wouldn't be surprised if a mouse showed up and crapped in it.

She did it again yesterday. Mom found another disgusting bowl on top of her desk in her bedroom. This one was also fermenting.
