Dragon Ball Z has been aring on Nicktoons since the begining of Summer(I think :l). I watch the series(watchin' it right now ) and I think it's good. My firist time watchin' the DB series, too . Do you think it's a good anime? Do you think the voice changes are fitting/okay? Do you think it dosen't belong on Nicktoons? Disscus.

I liked what they did with this, even though it is heavily censored for the sake of it being on a Nick channel. No blood or other things that need not be mentioned. The new dub isn't bad either. Apparently they went closer with the manga with this dub.

Meh, I liked the original Dragonball Z so much more to be honest. That is why I watch that online. I have watched DBZKai a few times and it isn't bad, but it isn't as good. I am a huge Dragonball Z fan and I think Frieza's voice was much more fitting in the original Z. Also, since it was being aired on Cartoonetworks Toonami, everything was acceptable. Nicktoons took the fun out of it. I believe they also ruined a bit of the classic DBZ lines such as, "Over 9,000" in Dragonball Z versus stupid, "Over 8,000."

Actually 8,000 was how it was in Z for every dub except english. It was even 8,000 in the manga.

Oh yeah. I forgot about stupid 8,000. What's wrong with 9,000?

I don't really watch it much.
It's ok for my opinion.
But I hate the theme song.
I prefer The original in my opinion.

I must say that the voices aren't a problem for me. In the beginning of original Dragonball Z, the voices were a bit odd. Then, it got better near the end of the Namek series and by time that was over, the voices were perfect. Glad the voices in DBZ Kai started out excellent.

This is a good way to reintroduce such a legendary anime to younger kids who never saw Dragonball or Dragonball Z when they were originally released. The fact it is made in HD is awesome as well. ;P

I HATE the "Dragon Soul" theme song as well. The original was much better. So, I have both my pro and cons about Kai. The end result is that I am glad it is being aired, just wish it wasn't being aired on Nicktoons... ;(

Did they make Dragon Soul english or are they broadcasting the Japanese?

Yep. I think it's going to be 2 episodes until it gets to that.

The voice change sucks and it is a remake of the old Dragon Ball, I dont like it.

Dragonball Z Kai doesn't air in the United Kingdom but I do have Saiyan Saga on DVD and I really enjoyed the anime without the filler and loved the background music. I really didn't mind the voice change for gohan and sometime things have to change as the time moves forward.
