I found this, a run of pokemon blue version, done in about an hour. He manipulated the heck out of it, so definitely watch it.

If you don't want the frame rate to be choppy (something Viddler is known for), this run has also been uploaded to YouTube.

It's cool, but would be more impressive if he didn't use a tool that makes EVERY attack of the oponnent miss or fail. :/

Well, it's a TAS. It's more about going through the game as fast as you can using the tools provided, rather then doing it legitimately.

I just think this would be a proper place to put an even more ridiculous run of Green by the same person.

I believe that's cheating.

And yet even after all that, Gary Oak STILL managed to become the elite four quicker then him. Olol

That's actually fully utilizing a glitch in the Japanese originals of Red and Green. The glitch was fixed in the Japanese Blue, which the international Red and Blue are based off of.

TASing is scary stuff. I've never seen a pokemon game TASed before.

I know this is a bit of a bump, but I have something useful, right?

I found a TAS of Yellow version that beats those two.

I think someone should Make a run and then Speed it up so fast it only lasts a minute.

I swear, the original games were so glitchy it's not even funny... Yet it is.

I love glitching up my Pokemon Blue! Depending on your name, your Pokemon's Special stats, you could find almost anything! The glitches actually make me play the game more than the story. In fact, my most recent files have only got to Cinnibar with a few badges, because I'd rather play with glitches than finish the story.

How have I not seen that? It was submitted two days ago!

Well, it follows the same general idea of modifying the byte values through a save corruption glitch, just minus the battle.
