I have a Vista, would you mind telling me all the 'specs' of a Vista? I have a graphics and gaming card, the most recent ones I'm aware of. Unfortunately it lacks a camera and microphone.

Vista doesn't tell what your computer specs are. Many computers run Vista, but they are different. My PC has a AMD 64X2 Dual Core Processor, 2GB RAM, 250GB harddrvie, and a DVD±RW.

I have a single-core 1.87 gHz processor with 512 MB RAM. I plan on upgrading to my computer's maximum of 2 gigs RAM come birthday time (November).

Unfortunately, I only have the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Card, which is essentially the worst graphics card available in modern comps.

At least it's better than this other really old computer.

48 MB RAM, 2 GB hard drive, 300 (?) MHz processor, CD-ROM drive, floppy drive, Windows 2000 (upgraded from Windows 95), no USB ports, 2 hour battery.

It's about 12 years old.

It still has 48 MB RAM, 300 MHz processor, internal CD-ROM, external floppy, internal 2.1 GB hard drive, and a 2 hour battery, but I changed a couple things. The operating system is now MS-DOS 7.10 + Windows 3.1. I added a USB card. And yes, it does work; there are DOS USB drivers! I also added some sound card drivers and a 500 GB external USB hard drive, which also works perfectly with the machine. I'm seriously amazed at how well this machine runs considering its age. I intend to find a drive that is at least 1.5 TB just to get a picture of the thing in DOS.

The only bad thing about 3.1 is that it seriously reduces the number of programs you can use as it only supports 8-bit and 16-bit applications.

Confused? I don't even understand half of it!
EDIT: I do understand more than half of it. The only stuff I don't understand is FSB and L2 Cache.

Hmm . . . I has:
2.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
3GB DDR2 SDRAM
320 GB hard drive
Vista Home Premium SP1 (The program you've told to start would like to start. Allow it?)
LabelFlash-capable DVD-RW drive
NVIDIA GeForce 7050/NVIDIA nForce 620i GPU
6 USB ports for USB portage
5 slots for various forms of flash memory
Oh, and an 18.5-inch 1366 x 768 LCD monitor.

It's an improvement over the computer I was using before, which celebrated its 9th birthday in June.

I can't even run N64 games at full fps. Even my windows 2000/ME can run Super Mario 64 with full fps and it's 10 years old! That's really pathetic.

The one I'm using right now was at my dad's workplace and was unused for whatever reason. I took a hard drive from another computer and the graphics card and one of the DVD drives from his computer, which had a bad motherboard. It does what I need it to do, even if it's crap in comparison to Jared's.
I'mma just leave CPU-Z's report file here, even if it has way more than anyone here would care about.

Buizel look for something called Advanced Memory Mapping in BIOS and activate it cause Windows isn't using all of your memory. If not, look in your motherboard's manual for whatever it is called on your model.

I did a few upgrades to my desktop last week so my system is now as follows:

Base system: Dell Dimension E521
CPU: AMD Athalon x2 Dual Core 3600+ 1.9 GHz (this will likely be the next thing I upgrade)
RAM: 2GB (I will eventually upgrade it to 4)
Power supply: Upgraded to 500W from the stock 305W (needed for new video card and any other future upgrades that will need more power)
Video card: Upgraded to Asus ENGT240 (1GB) from the cheap 256MB on-board video
Hard drive: 250GB (I will likely get a larger one to use as a primary drive and use this one for backup)
Other stuff: CD/DVD drive/writer, speakers (that I have had for at least 8 yearsr), and a 17 inch LCD screen from AGM (which had to have a lot of internal capacitors replaced). I would like to add a SD card reader so I don't have to keep dealing with USB adapters.

And my netbook is an ASUS 1005peb with upgraded RAM (2GB) and instead of crappy Windows 7 Starter it is running Ubuntu Linux: Netbook Remix.

Media drive F: CD/DVD
Media drive K: CD/DVD

Display adapter driver version 8.17.11.9621

DirectX version DirectX 10

Maybe 8 USB ports plus a hub with four extras (STILL NOT ENOUGH), two Firewire ports, Optical audio out, eSATA, HDMI and DVI video out, and RCA (Just composite I think, no component video) and S-video I/O. (I need to get some better audio input so I can actually record once I get some equipment.)

Upstairs in the media room, a similar system with 8 gigs of RAM, a slightly worse Graphics card and something like 5 TB of HD space (Not sure, need to keep adding more 'cause I run out of space with all the stuff I record.)

Next to my current computer, I have an older computer that I'm eventually gonna convert into a low-volume server for games, chatrooms and similar things if I ever get around to making my network more secure.

Upstairs in my bedroom I have my good laptop, which is still pretty bad. It's a few years old, has an AMD-x64 dualcore processor of some type, two gigs of ram, and maybe 300 gigs of HD space. There's also my older laptop, which is about five-six years old and has a single-core pentium four processor, maybe 60 gigs of HD space and a gig of ram.

I've also got an old imac and an old emac laying around that I inherited from my little sister when she got a windows machine. (Hmmmm... Not sure if I still have that imac.)

Besides those, a couple of old desktops about the age of the one I want to convert that I got from my parents when they upgraded. I may also have an EXTREMELY old laptop I got from them, a powerbook 100-series I think.

I also have an Asus eee-PC that I've not used in a while and I'm not sure of the stats on. It's about a year old.

Don't feel bad. xD I grew up in a family surrounded by progressing technology. Honestly, I would like to cram more under her hood, but I'm still on probation for the next few months... >.o Three year sentence is nearly up. Once I'm cleared of my state-deemed computer limitations, I plan on popping up all the way to the full 64 gigs my motherboard can manage, probably end up pairing my twin i7s with another set [AUX dual ports], and regain custody of my old externals. If I can get back all of my old gear from the state, I'l be brought up to a little over twenty Tera of overall storage. xD;

tl;dr Don't feel too bad. xD Everyone's jealous of my e-peen.

I love Eee-PCs. :3 I used to be a [blech] Windows user, but I learned to write script thanks to one of these little guys. When the state took my "overflow" equipment, they took my lil Eee. :c I haven't seen her in forever.

I'm a huge fan of them. :3

[Editorial] Also, if it makes anyone feel better, my hobbies are rather expensive... So I'm almost always broke. ;D

I just noticed something. I put more info for my ridiculously bad computer right after Technomancer's hypercomputer, which makes mine look worse. His total storage is almost 10 terabytes more than what I have left, and he has 15 more gigabytes of RAM than I do.

It's an HP Netbook so...

Intel Atom 1.66 GHz processor
160 GB Hard drive (not sure of the RPMs though I'll guess 5400)
1 GB RAM

No optical drive but it was cheap and I got tired of using my Wii.

Dell Inspiron N4010
3GB RAM
1.83GHz Intel Pentium processor
CD/DVD/RW drive
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
And apparently its name is NismoZ, don't ask why <.<

EDIT: One USB port D:

Open your Start Menu, then right click My Computer, click Properties, copy/paste results.

Editorial: If yours is near perfection with only a measly 120+gb of internal space and four USB ports, what does that make mine? o3o
