Any good ideas? I'm thinking about taking this dvd player apart. Post your findings here.

Actually walking

...

But if I need to rack up a bunch of steps quickly I have this little machine made from LEGO (big surprise there). It spins the Pokéwalker around to get steps, much like if you left it in your pants while they go through the dryer. The Pokéwalker goes into an X-pod (lined with tissue so the Pokéwalker doesn't get all scratched up) which is connected to a mini 9V motor. The motor is controlled by a 9V train speed regulator. It actually works best on the slowest setting giving 120 steps per minute.

I sit there during school and hold it in my hand and bump it with my leg. I may not get 120 steps a minute, but it's better than nothing.

I actually walk or just shake it. I can usually get about 100/minute by shaking it if I get into the right rhythm.

I use my restless leg syndrome to my advantage and stuff the pokewalker in my sock. Unfortunately, my legs bounce SO fast that the pokewalker doesn't always register the movement. Sometimes it works, though. My record is over 8,000 steps over the course of two hours in one of my classes. Espeon really liked that walk.

Put it between two of your toes and tap your foot. It's really effective, actually, I get tons of steps by doing it.

I attach it beneath my sock during the school and as I shake my leg or walk it gains tons of steps.

I taped mine to a box fan, in about an hour it walked over 10,000 steps.

My friend's made a machine with LEGO, using a weighted LEGO brick. He powers it on, and it just vibrates rapidly. He then puts something on the top to hold it in place. It works. Very well. Anyone know where I can get a weighted LEGO brick?

Shake it back and forth with my arm or rock if I'm in a chair.

I cheated in getting the game so I don't even have a pokewalker.

I wear cargo shorts. I put the walker in the pocket on my leg. As you take each step the walker rattles around a little more than it would normally. My record for one day is nearly 40,000 steps.

I slide it back and forth across the matress. 3000 steps 10 minutes. But I slid it off the end and went under the cuboard so heres a tip.
Don't do near a cuboard!

I walk, and I shake the Pokewalker, and another method that I use is that I strap a string around the Pokewalker and I just start twirling it until I get lot's of step's.

I just put it in my pocket and walk around the backyard. That really isn't "cheating", but still... :P

EDIT: I just shake it slowly while I'm on the computer sometimes or while I'm listening to music on my iPod. It worked very well compared to my last response above.

I have this little string, and tie it around the Walker. Then, I built this little thing that turns, and attached it to the string. I get about 5000 steps per minute

I thought if I transferred my pokemon to the pokewalker and than before my ds saved i turned my ds off but that did not work. A way to get alot of steps is using it when you are on a electric scooter
