This is the first installment of a game I hope will be lively enough for me to do a series on! I came up with the idea myself one day when bored at home, and it's fun to do alone, but especially with others!

Rules

  • Whole data for two teams will be displayed, you, as a player and a pokemon trainer, are able to choose one of the two teams, Team A, or Team B.
  • The only data not listed is EV and IV data, because the stat data should be information enough for players.
  • As a player, you choose one team, from that choice, you gain access to all of the data of that team, BUT you are only allowed to use the name data of the pokemon of the opposite team.
  • I trust this community, it is by far my favorite gaming forum I have ever been to. But anyone who creates their strategy based off the opposite team's data is ruining the game not only for themselves, but partially for everyone. Please refrain from doing so.
  • There will be individual 'battle rules' for every PTLG, please read them and don't assume they are the same as the last!
  • There are no rules specifically for writing strategies, but my advice is to keep it well written and ordered, and try to think of writing it almost as if it were an if/then statement. Creativity is approved though! Try and find a great way of writing one!
  • ALSO feel free to critique other strategies others write! The objective of the game is for all people who side on one team to come to one (or many) conclusive strategies!

Below will be the team data system used for every PTLG, along with the most current KPTLG!

Team Player Data

Team A: KrayzeeGuy

Team B: LiteTheIronMan

Please, more players feel free to join either team!

KrayzeeGuy's Hint of the Moment:
3 on 3 battles usually mean less synergy and more type advantage! Stay on your toes!

What you see above is the usual way I will put in data. All the needed data is there, any questions you can PM or VM me, to prevent clogging up of the thread.

================================================== ================================================== ========

This is an example of how to show your strategy, it is also my current strategy, which may be subject to change since it is a beta.

Team Taken: Team A

Selected Three: Persian, Skarmory, Kingdra

Lead of Choice: Persian

Notes in current strategy: This strategy is in the case that the opponent does not swap pokemon.

Startoff Move (Move 1) in the cases of Dugtrio, Gallade, Pikachu, Golduck, Arcanine, Exeggutor: Fake Out
Reason: Persian has a very nice Speed stat, but the priority, STAB, and ability help as well to start off this match.

Next Move (Move 2) in the cases of Gallade, Exeggutor, Arcanine: U-turn
Reason: Type advantage plzkthx, that and Gallade may be packing something not-too-pretty. The reason I won't swap out directly is because I trust Persian's speed stat. Also I expect Bulkanine.

Next Move (Move 2) in the cases of Pikachu, Golduck, Dugtrio: Bite
Reason: Dugtrio will most likely outspeed ;~;, and it has Arena Trap, which isn't friendly at all ;A;. The rest will take severe damage from the blow.

Future Moves (Moves 3 to infinity) if stats are unchanged: Bite
Reason: It's really the only thing Persian's got goin' in this case.

(Move 3) Swap-Out Target in the case of Arcanine: Kingdra
Reason: Kingdra can definitely handle Arcanine's attacks on the rebound. Especially expecting a Fire move.

(Move 3) Swap-Out Target in the case of Gallade and Exeggutor: Skarmory
Reason: Kingdra may not take too well to Exeggutor, Skarmory can resist pretty much everything it can dish out, and Gallade will be forced to endure Skarmstalling while being pecked at!

(Move 4) Kingdra Vs. Arcanine First Move: Surf
Reason: I expect with Arcanine's movepool a non-fire move, so Rain Dance may endanger me, especially with ExtremeSpeed capabilities it may have.

Future Kingdra Vs. Arcanine Moves (Moves 5 to infinity): Surf
Reason: ...Water beats Fire.

(Move 4) Skarmory Vs. Gallade/Exeggutor First Move: Toxic
Reason: Skarmstall is hell, Toxic is hell. What else is hell? NOTHING.

(Move 5 to infinity) Skarmory Vs. Gallade/Exeggutor Future Moves: Pluck
Reason: Type Advantage is hell.

(Move X) Skarmory Vs. Gallade/Exeggutor In the Case HP <or=50%: Roost
Reason: Stally Skarmstall is stally.

(Move Y) In the case that Kingdra or Skarmory faint, swap in: Persian
Reason: Persian is still a safe switch-in due to Fake Out

(Move Y+1) Persian's Moves: Refer to Moves 1 and 2 of Persian's line-up.

(Move Z) In the case all hell breaks loose: Cry.

Hmm. Let me have a shot.

My Team: Team B

My selected 3: Dugtrio, Exeggutor, Gallade

My lead: Dugtrio

Move 1: (If anything that isn't Kingdra/Skarmory) Earthquake. It'll be able to kill Jolteon in one hit and seriously mess up everything else.
(If Skarmory) I guess Stone Edge would work. It'd be a bit of a moot point to switch to the Exeggutor now since you might be facing a super-effective attack if you did so, so just try to hit it hard.
(If Kingdra) Argh. Hope you're outsped and go for Reversal. You're probably dead at this point though.

Move 2: If Dugtrio is still alive then he can still take anything out with Stone Edge or Earthquake, and if he's taken a lot of damage Reversal will deal out heavy fire.

Move 3: At this point I'm going to switch out to Exeggutor and establish Gravity, which would/will completely ruin Skarmory.

Now then.

Exeggutor

Move 1: Dewgong and Kingdra are both at least somewhat susceptible to Leaf Storm, so it'll completely wreck one and severely harm the other.

Move 2: Basically, Eggy can, at this point, do whatever. Slowly pummel his opponents with Psychic or suicide and Explode.

Switch into Gallade.

Move 1: Since a lot of Team A's opponents are weak to Fighting type attacks, Focus Punch would help a lot in this case. Thank god for Lagging Tail!

Move 2: If they're somehow still not dead then continue Focus Punching. If they're on their last Pokemon and you're not you can Destiny Bond them to a loss. At this point using Trick or Snatch to take the opponent's item isn't going to do you much.

Even though I'm on the opposite team, I'd like to add a suggestion to your strategy just since no one's really in a large team yet, and say that a Trick with a Lagging Tail would probably scare in a swap-out, and a Focus Punch may be able to be pushed through later on.
