The Victory Road Chamber Ensemble!
I want to try soemthing like the YouTube Symphony Orchestra thing, but on a much, much smaller scale (Like, one instrument on a part).
Here's my plan:
-I arrange a piece for the people who want to do this
-I give parts to everyone via e-mail or something
-I give out the BPM for metronome use or I do something like Tan Dun and "conduct" the "orchestra" in a video like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMmcP...ext=1&index=12 except maybe not so funny looking.
-Our selected techie person collects all the clips and combines all the video and audio into a single video of awesomeness
-That person distributes the video to everyone.
Who sounds interested in this? Please know that there is a limit on what I can do, and if I can't do something, I'm sorry. Also, this is not 100% going to happen. If there is not enough participation, this won't happen.
If any of you are interested, please respond and say what instrument you play. I am also going to need someone to put all the audio and video together as well, so if you can do that, please respond. If you have a video of you playing, post a link to it so I can see you please!!!
People Interested (Will be updated):

I think this is an awesome idea; I've seen the same thing done with rock songs many times, but I don't recall having seen any orchestral orchestra orchestration orchestra-ing in this way. I'd certainly participate if I played an appropriate instrument. I hope enough people are willing to do so, because I'd really like to see the result.
Basically, if there's enough people, we can form our own mini orchestra. Right now, I'm just looking for volunteers. Once there's enough people, I'll take the instruments and arrange a piece for us to play. Our techie dude will edit all the videos together.
This is just an experiment, so it may or may not work.
