What new Pokémon do you have high hopes for? Personally, I am looking forward to Desertile (Meguroko) with its abilities and typing and Gear cuz it looks cool.

I also want Meguroko to be usable in competitive play, but with that typing of ground/dark, I don't think it will be OU. Im hoping its evolution will get some speed and high attack. If it ends up being a defensive pokemon I don't think it will get very far out of the NU tier with that typing. :<

All I can do is hope. Ya gotta admit its kinda cute. :>

Hihidaruma quite possibly ranks in my top 5 pokemon of all time. IT LOOK AWESOME.

The rest are all right, except for Gear, which is stupid looking. I hope it gets a decent evolution to fix it.

They are all ace.... except Gear cos it looks like......something. The rest are great especially Hihidaruma and Chiramii and Shimama.

So far from what I have seen both of the legendary Pokemon and Shimama, the zebra are the three main Pokemon I have high hopes for!

Smugleaf of course, Gear, and the Desertile. Smugleaf for obvious reasons, Gear because I think he'll get some decent looking evolutions, and Desertile because I've wanted another crocodile Pokemon for awhile now...

Gotta be Gear. His design is just awesome and there's serious potential for something awesome. It might be a bit out of left field but I'd like for him to end up being some kind of cool Steampunk robot.

Doryuuzu has got to be my new favorite 5th gen Pokemon. Although I have this feeling his pre-evolution is going to be the Bidoof of this gen.

There was a pokemon I've always wanted to make called Lawngarde. He was one of those Spanish matador types, but instead of a Rapier, he had a bunch of Lawn equipment.

I'm really looking forward to a new Ghost mashup that I wasn't expecting. Another forum I ran on before I joined VR had a discussion that had to do with "Pokemon we'd expect from Gen V". I expected animals that weren't used yet, like mountain goats [It would have been cool to see a Ground/Ice type come out of it, like the Swine family], or a Squid Pokemon or something. My expectations were low, considering there are only so many Pokemon you can make...

But Desukaan really took my breath away. A Sarcophagus Pokemon? Potential for a Ground/Ghost or Rock/Ghost? The fact that in battle, it drops to the ground, standing up, unmoving like a giant Obelisk of sheer terror?

Even if it's an unevolving Pokemon [Which is typically a no-no in my crew], I would totally use it. I can only hope for genders though, as I'd prefer to have a female, to name it Isis. :3 [I know earlier I said Medusa, but Isis is actually Egyptian...]

Of the new ones:

I like Wargle. I've wanted and Eagle Pokemon and now we have one. I'll probably use him on my team.

I love the look of Minezumi, he's like and evil chipmunk. The problem is that he's probably going to be really weak, and he's a normal type, so as much as I love him I won't use him.

I'm really afraid about Gear. If Gear gets an evolution, chances are it will b awesome. But I'm afraid he might not get an evolution, and just be a stupid looking useless one-stage pokemon that misses out on his potential.

Generally everyone else looks good. I really like the designs of Gen V so far, they're pretty original. I want to find out more about that crystal pokemon that was shown with Rankurusu and Gochiruzeru, he looks like a good Rock Type for my team.

Believe it or not i'm looking forward to Munna alot Ilike it's evolution a Ant eater that shoots out pink smoke Hhmmmmm............different huh?
