Super Smash Bros. Brawl has four different control styles which are customizable to a fault: Wii Remote (on its side), Wii Remote/Nunchuk, Classic Controller, and the GameCube scheme from Melee. I want to know which playing style you guys use.

I use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk combo, set up with a custom button layout for ease while Brawling. I sometimes use the default GameCube layout, but only if my Wavebird is plugged in to begin with. I also have a custom Classic Controller setup, but I hardly use it.

I find the GameCube controller easier to use, especially since it's similar to an N64 controller and I own SSB but not Melee(I've played and rented it before but never bought it).
The buttons are at easy reach and it's easy to use, just be sure to go in the custom controller layout and make the C-stick jump instead of attack.

I use the Gamecube controller when playing alone, but with friends I use the Wii Wheel. It's more fun

...the Wii Wheel? This is Smash, not MKWii.

I always use the Wiimote and Nunchuck, though of course I don't have any good GameCube controllers. If I did, I'm too used to the Wiimote + Nunchuck to use one anyway. :B

Gamecube, I hated the Wiimote + Nunchuck or the Wiimote alone. They are both awful to me. * votes Gamecube..........like everybody else.

A long time ago, I used to use the Wiimote+nunchuck. Now, it's GC only.

I can't believe I haven't posted in this yet.

I use two controller types. One over the other, but one in case there aren't enough GC controllers.

Gamecube:

All buttons are the same, Tap Jump is off.

I find Tap Jump doesn't help me with comboing, especially with how fast I move the control stick and how sensitive Tap Jump is. So I always keep it off. It really wrecks me when I use uairs or utilts.

Wiimote+Nunchuk:

This one takes a bit more editing, nothing extreme.

I don't remember the original controls, so I'll put button-for-button on there.

C- Jump
Z- Shield
D-pad- Smash
A- Basic
B- Special
1/2 - Taunts
A+B - Grab

Simple stuff, but getting used to two control sets helps.

The only thing is WiiNun controllers will once every ~50 moves ignore one button press, which aggravates me.

Wiimote + Nunchuck with custom controls.

A - Attack
B - Sheild
D-Pad - Taunts
Z - Special
C - Jump, but I usually use Tap Jump
A + B - Grab
1 + 2 - Can't remember, but I don't use those buttons anyway.

I use Wiimote on its side? Wow, seems like I'm the only one who plays brawl that way.
