My two N64s. I want to obtain working models of the previous systems someday, to add to my collection.

The oldest system I have owned was the big old grey Game Boy brick. The oldest one I currently own would have to be my Game Boy Pocket (if I still have it. I haven't seen it in a while) or my SNES, which is newer than the one you would think of. There's no eject button on mine.

For me,it would be SNES which brings me back memories playing Super Mario World all the time.I completing all the worlds and also playing Donkey Kong Country 2 at my cousins' house. It was hard and I never got to the ending, but I had a great time playing it.One of my favorite levels is the haunted Hall where you are in a roller coaster and a ghost chases you. There's a time limit and when it reaches to zero the ghost will kill one of the monkeys. To increase the time limit, you try to get the plus barrels scatter in the level while avoiding the minus barrels.
I remember forcing myself to play *shivers* Mario's Time Machine which was terrible. The gameplay was repetitive and you have to answer questions about history by filling in the blacks. It was really difficult since you only get 3 chances before you are force to go back and it erases the answers but luckly it only happens if you are in a place where you need to return the item.Plus if you return the item in one wrong order or spent too much in a area, you get a bad ending.I didn't know until I completed the game. After painfully writing the passwords for saving and reading the text for answers, the ending was horrible. It tells me that I need to finish quicker and go back and try again.I was really pissed. Why would I try again since going through this crappy game was really painful? There were a lot of education games in SNES but there are a lot of good games such as Donkey Kong Country Series and Super Mario RPG.If you come across this game, don't play it and burn it up.You will regret playing it, trust me.I just wish I get my time back from playing this game.![]()
I still have my original NES working
Those things are near impossible to break, while an Xbox 360 or Wii may crap out on you after a few years you can lob a NES out a window and it'd most likely still work.
2 – Seiji J. Konokama, Team FailThe oldest console I own is my family's NES that we've had since around 1986. It still works great, too, granted we kept the 72-pin connector clean, and we hardly ever used it through the 1990s. Every now and again, I'll rock out with either Contra or Super Mario Bros., as those two are my absolute favorites in all of my 28-game NES collection. More on that collection in another thread.
