It's true. The long journey from Kindergarten to a diploma is over. This soon? People were right when they said that Senior year would go quick. This graduation was special, partly because the ceremony was held at a landmark that's over 1000 years old and still standing.
My parents were there, along with all my teachers, including one I haven't seen since middle school. The best of the best, student-wise, read their long speeches, filled with jokes and 'positive' comments about school assignments (there was friendly sarcasm in those comments).
After the speeches were done, we started receiving our diplomas. Being at the front row, I got mine quickly. My best friend and I sat together during the ceremony. Once everyone got their diplomas, the principal got up on stage and made a short speech. He then "recognized" us as graduates. We turned our tassels to the left and there was a big round of applause. Having an audience of 1000+ people in a 1000+ year-old landmark was really something special.
I'm planning on going to college and studying creative writing (readers of my fanfictions, pay attention). I said to my parents that after graduation, I would work on my first non-pokemon story.
I'm not sure how my future will play out, but last night was something none of us will forget.
