Pokémon General → Black & White Legenaries to possibly be part dragon type

According to the Dasuki Club and Serebii, the two new version mascots have been revealed to be part dragon. It is unknown as to whether both will be pure dragon type or be assigned to a secondary type.

How'd they confirm it? Was it actually stated that they'll be dragons ooor no? I mean the black one kinda looks like a dragon but the white one is like...super mega ultra angel chicken. :V

Well they do look to be part dragon, both of them. Although the white one looks a lot like a "Super mega ultra chicken" as Pinky said before.

I bet Zekrom is: Steel/Dragon, Reshiram: Normal/Dragon.
Only thing i'm worried about is that we already have a steel/dragon, so Zekrom is most likely Dark/Dragon.

I hope it is not Steel/Dragon.It looks more like Dark/Dragon and the concept suits it too.
I don't know what type Reshiram is nor do I care.

I think it'll be Dragon/Normal and Dragon/Dark.

Well, it fits the White/Black thing, Normal/Dark.
Maybe it'll be Flying/Dragon...I wouldn't doubt that either.

Suprisingly it was revealed on a blog that Rashram was a Electric/Dragon type but I have my doughts.

It is a rumor.Maybe it is true but it is not confirmed. yet.
If it is part Electric then it will based on the industrialization kind of thing.I mean the electricity problems etc.

With crotch fur. I mean wth is that? XD It looks more like an angel, so why won't it be flying type instead? :3 In fact they both look like angels, they should be flying types. We've had too many dragon type legendaries.>_>

Reshiram is white so maybe it is Ice.
Also,Nintendo didn't said that they are Dragon-type they said 'Dragon Pokemon'

Where does it say so? I wanna see some proof. It would suck if its actually true....DX I was waiting for a light type, since Reshiram looks a lot like an angel of some sort.

Serebii posted it in their forum.It was revealed in an interview.They said that that current types makes everything balanced or something,so they won't make any new types.

That was EXACTLY what I was thinking. Dark/Dragon + Ice/Dragon = Zekrom and Reshiram!

Actually...Ice is clear technically, and it's color is indefinite because if you freeze water with red food coloring in it, then ice is red, etc.

Ice is clear. The air bubbles in the ice give it a white appearance. If you do as Jad suggest, you could get red, or an off-red.

I'm getting tired of Dragon-type Legends, although a Dark/Dragon sounds fancy.

Well, to clear up that idea of ice, Reshiram has been confirmed as a Fire and Dragon type Pokemon now. Zekrom has also been confirmed as an Electric and Dragon type, meaning Shoko actually did end up giving away unreleased information xD

Anyway, I suppose it makes sense. if you think about it, Reshiram`s tail resembles a lit torch with a flame, and Zekrom`s tail resembles a turbine or generator.

As the types have been confirmed, having a thread for speculation about the types of the two legendary mascots is useless now. Therefore, I believe this thread should be closed.
