Most of you know, that the Japanese version of Heart Gold and Soul Silver has a Game Corner is Goldenrod city.
And the International version doesn't really have a 'Game Corner'.
More like a old Pedop**** wanting to play games with you.

Possibly because Nintendo doesn't want to promote gambling to young children.
The Main thing is, if Pokemon Black and White (English Versions) will even have a Gaming Corner.. maybe even the Japanese won't..

If thats going to happen, that would suck. What are your thoughts on this?

The international ones obviously won't. I'm pretty confident that it'll still be in the Japanese version, however.

I hope that they'll just put Voltorb Flip and Slots in the JP Version, then keep it for the U.S. version and then just remove the slots for the EU version. I mean, would the Simulated Gambling rating descriptor really make Pokémon E10+? I doubt it, and heck, if it does, that's great because if you're under 10 you probably can't understand half the things being said by the NPCs anyway.

It's pretty obvious someone at Nintendo needs to learn that it's just a game and need actual proof that it induces gambling in the first place.

If not we'll get a mini game that's even more "addictive" then gambling.

I don't think that the Japanese versions will lose their Game Corners, as the Japanese are relatively mellow about this kind of thing. However, it is is not outrageous to suggest the American versions will be without Game Corners. If one moron makes a big deal about it and gets offended Game Freak may have to compromise. I think this has happened before...

The Japanese version of the game might have a Game corner, although they might do the same thing on the English version where you had to play one game.

Game corner is one of the best parts of the whole game. It's really amusing and not a lot like real gambling. I was so sad when I found out it wasn't in HG/SS.

Voltorb Flip is actually a really fun Minesweeper clone. I would, however, like slots or roulette as another option and would very much appreciate being able to buy coins.

Yes, because nobody will play or care about the EU versions.

Considering it's Europe's fault that they took out the slots and other countries don't have as much as a problem with it...

It better be in BW, or something that is the opposite of "positive" will have happened.

I did enjoy the old game corner and the new one, I hope that they could maybe have an extension of the the gamecorner, like a second floor where the voltorb flip (and any other potential new game) may find its place.

That's so true. My little brother doesn't quite read the dialogue and instead tries to make me beat the game for him. I DID beat the game(s) for him. Plus, I want to be able to buy tokens.

I have the Japanese version of HeartGold, and It has different games in the Games corner than the english one.

The Jap. one only has Smeargle slots, and the English one's a Coin flip. (seen my friend play it)

The games corner is fun, but it's just there as an extra.
I like it though.

They could solve the game corner issue so easily without having to horribly butcher up everything for the sake of gamble removal. First of all it's called a GAME corner, so why not just turn it into a place full of ARCADE GAMES? Insert coin? Hell yes! Let's have addictive clones of pinball, space invaders, and everything else you can think of.

Not only does it solve the gambling problem gracefully, but it makes for people to get renewed interest in the GC. I don't know about you but I only played the slots very little. It's so much more practical to BUY the coins. With the slots games you just hit a button and hope for the best. It's boring and slow. Why not add more entertainment value to the place?

I love that idea, like a game with an Infernape throwing Pokeballs down a construction site, and you (Pikachu) have to jump over them. Along with other arcade game rip-offs. But I have one question...

How would you 'win' coins with arcade games?

Beat 5 Levels, get coins.
Something like that.

Like Arcade Machines and Tickets.

Personally I don't see how bad sales will decrease when parents would see a DS game had 'gambling' as the reason for E10+.

Any sensible parent would realize that virtual slots does not have a correlation with real slots. Since virtual money doesn't give you an outlook on real money.

At least that's how it worked with me.

True, It's not a Major factor in the game either, just an Optional extra, so there shouldn't be a fuss as to it being a Bad influence on children.

First of all, IT'S NOT REAL GAMBLING, and second, why hasn't anyone made a patch to put the slots back in

This is the problem, Americans run on fear, and they are afraid that the slots will turn children into criminals, as a result, the loveable retard Jack Thompson made this harder than Megaman 2 minigame, and it's..... BORING

And another problem, several people at NOA wanted it to be E10+ because of the slots, but then Reggie was like "ZOMG POKEMON IS FOR KIDS UNDER 10 ONLY NO TEENS OR ADULTS ALLOWED!!!!!" and thus they made a minigame starring the most UNORIGINAL Pokemon of all time

A good game would be skee ball. You aim the pokeball and press a to throw it. Nintendo SHOULD get ideas from here!

You would win credits depending on your score. When you are finished playing it will say. You scanned your arcade card. Added _____ Credits to your credit account.

Besides you can just press a button to play not even use coins or anything to play just press A.

I could care less about the games, just let me BUY COINS. I don't want to sit with Chester the Molester for 5 hours to get a Porygon.

I didn't like the game corner for the games, but for the prizes. I would much rather be able to buy Flamethrower and thunderbolt than have to play slots for them.

I relly like the idea of an arcade where you can play games like pacman and Pong. Well pacman maybe not because thats namco, but maybe little arcade games like that made by Game freak.
