Well we are only two days away from the release of Super Mario Galaxy 2 (well, those of us in the US at least) so this thread shall be for discussion of anything related to SMG2. When the game does come out and you want to say something that may spoil it for others, make sure you put it in a spoiler tag.
I got mine pre-ordered and I shall be picking it up from GameStop on Sunday morning at 9 AM (just like what I did for HeartGold, only hopefully it won't be as windy).
In the video Mag was watching, Peach says in her letter, "Would you like to come share some cake while we watch the shooting stars?". So now there is cake in Nintendo? Also so now there is only 3 files?
I really want to get this game, but I don't know when. I might get it this summer though.
GALAXY 2 GET!!
And now for a little story. GameStop said they would be open at 9:00 AM on Sunday morning for the game. I leave my house about 9:00 and I see the store at 9:05, but the parking lot was empty. I drive up to the store and it was shut, THE STORE WAS STILL CLOSED, THE OPENING WAS A LIE!!! So I went to the WalMart within the same shopping center and they had SMG2 piled up to the ceiling. I said screw it and I got it there. While there at the beginning of the electronics section they had a table with a bunch of stuff on sale. They had 2-paks of PS2 memory cards (official) for a mere $3 so I got 3 paks (so I got 6 cards) and they had a bunch of strategy guides on sale for 50 cents. While it was manly for Xbox games, they had the Official Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Pokedex (Volume 2) and the Official Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness. They had about 10 of the Pokedexes (I got 4) and 3 of the Mystery Dungeon ones (I got 2). So in the end I am actually glad GameStop was closed. Sure they are probably going to charge me $5 for not picking up the game, but **** them. They lost the money that I would have given them for the game and they can forget about me pre-ordering anything from them in the future.

I've already figured out the ending.
Spoiler Alert:
|
Guess I'll post where I currently am in THE GAME. I'm in World 6, drawing close to the final battle with Bowser, with 66 stars (OMA 666), with 1062 coins and 30 of the Prankster Comet Coins.
I must say, this is definitely a great game. My only gripe is that very few galaxies actually have Yoshi in it.
Well I rid the Galaxy of Bowser and rescued Peach. I like how during the ending credits you can play as Mario and collect Star Bits/Coins (didn't notice if they add to your total though). I am now at 76 stars with 34 of the Comet Coins.
And for something regarding the ending.
Rosalina appears, but she seems to act like she never met Mario before. The story for this game seems to be an alternate to what happened in Galaxy 1, instead of events that would have happened afterword. Also near the end of the ending credits THERE IS CAKE (and there are berries on it that Yoshi can eat). Also in the S world (which you get after you see the ending) there is a Galaxy of a Mario sprite. For the love of Arceus I hope the prankster comet isn't Luigi's Purple Coins.

What is the name of the level that is like the original super mario bros but you're really small.
|
|
That would be the Supermassive Galaxy in World 4.
Edit: OH.......ARCEUS........NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Remember your favorite level from the original Galaxy; Luigi's Purple Coins? Well guess what, you get to enjoy it all over again WITH COSMIC CLONES CHASING YOU! |

The worst galaxy is the Stone Cyclone Galaxy, wow is that difficult. Somehow it was almost easier in time mode because you could take a shorter path and you didn't stop as much.
