Sorry for the bad pun in the title, but seriously.

What characters from any video game do you think deserve to star in a Super Smash Bros. game?

1. Viewtiful Joe. His debut game introduced him as an average Joe (hence his name, Joe) who loved movies, and had him become a typical Japanese superhero. His move repretoire consisted of many techniques altering the speed of the game, as well as puns making fun of movie-editing effects and such. Viewtiful Joe's fighting style would've been brilliant to see in a Smash game.

2. Midna. Although she hardly did anything in Twilight Princess, the powers she displays are truely interesting. Her techniques would make a great addition to a Smash roster.

3. Sylux. Okay, fine, he'll just be a Samus clone for the most part, but honestly, there really needs to be more Metroid characters. We only have Samus in every Smash, after all.

4. Ridley. ...Oh, come on! Don't tell me you don't want to play as a giant mechanical plasma breathing dragon!

5. Mii's/Custom characters. Admittedly, for the basic combo attacks (i.e. A button mashing) they'd be clones of other characters. But their B attacks would be interesting, themed after Wii titles or the Wii Remote. Their Final Smash could be the Mii Parade- summoning every Mii you have in your Mii Plaza to trample the stage!

I never owned Viewtiful Joe but played it at Best Buy and it was awesome, he needs to be in the series.

I agree with all! but can Raichu fit? I mean hey! There's Pichu(which didn't got added on Brawl) and Pikachu?

Yesh! Raichu is needed~! Its play style would be different enough from pikachus to not be considered a clone.

Also....PHOENIX WRIGHT! Cmon, that would be awesome! No clue how he would fight but who cares. ITS PHOENIX WRIGHT!

Megaman and Bomberman would be quite cool.
I can also see other sonic characters being added in the next generation, but I question whether they will be a good addition.
I don't think any other pokemon are really needed imo.
I also like the idea of a custom option, maybe with a set move set but with customizable appearance.

If Sonic's in, then why can't Shadow be, too?
Also: Dimentio, Klonoa, Megaman, Kumatora, Mewtwo to return, Bowser Jr., Tingle and maybe NiGHTS.

Wow. Now that I look, the number of series that I like is quite restricted.

I remember before Brawl came out I thought Krystal from star fox was a shoein.

Y'know... I have my doubts on Ridley. I mean, he IS mega badass but.... he's huge (bigger than Bowser). Sure he kan be resized but... I think it'll just be a Charizard size thing. That, IMO would suck.


I would say Sylux, but he hasn't had a big impact to the Metroid franchise YET. But it is the kloset thing to SSBB other than Ridley.

I'd soooo play as Krystal, Midna, or even Phoenix Wright if they ever appear on a Super Smash Bros. game.

Also Plusle and Minun would have been awsome in Brawl, maybe instead we'll get Spiky Ear Pichu also.

As much as love the series, Phoenix Wright simply wouldn't work as a SBB character. MAYBE as an assist trophy, but that's about it.

*sigh* There's a difference between wishing for a character and being completely delusional.

Bomberman and Megaman sound good. Dragonite, Garchomp, and Aggron would also be some pretty appealing Pokémon picks.

I'd also like to nominate Brett Favre, although I'm not sure he counts.

Hey, hey, I think phoenix wright would be able to fight decently. They made captain falcon a fighter, and really all he was, was a race car driver. :V His basic A attacks would probably be just various punches and kicks, but his B attacks....I ain't got a clue what those would be. =/ If Godot was in it he could shoot LAZOR BEAMS. :V

Ah, but see, can Viewtiful Joe fight Mario in TvC? No, that's why this thread exists, because I wanted to see who people thought would be great to have in a Smash Bros. title, not a Capcom Vs. title.

His moveset would be sooooo easy to change to brawl form. =w=

Consider for a second that Phoenix Wright isn't in ANY of the Capcom vs games.

What should be in the next Super Smash Bros:

Characters:
Nights (With the ability to glide)
Blood Falcon (a stronger version of Captain Falcon)
Dark Samus (stronger version of Samus)
Viewtiful Joe (fine...)
Megaman (would be like Samus)
Cloud (would be like Ike)

Assit Trophies:
Pheonix Wright (he would use "Objection" and it would block the screen and make it hard to fight for 15 seconds)
Starly: legendary Starfy NOT POKEMON(would be a stronger version of Starfy)
Ashnard (kick ass...)

Pokeballs:
Empoleon (stronger version of Piplup)
Shaymin: Sky form (would drop a trophie)
Darkrai (would turn the screen black and unseeable for 30 seconds)
Arceus (oh my arceus... that would be so cheap. Uses slash and kills and the only way to not get hit and killed is to time the dodge.)
Typlosion (uses flamewheel)
Megainium (heals your HP/ damage)
Magikarp (uses splash)
Ditto (turns character into your oppenent) Example:Samus turns into Mario two marios. It would be hard to know which is which. 30 seconds later, your Samus again.

Sometimes if your lucky you will throw out a shiny pokemon or legendary out of the pokeball.

I think it's quite possible at this point that Zoroark could be Lucario's replacement, since they have a lot in common and Zoroark seems pretty fitting for Smash Bros.

I also third (or fourth) Bomberman above. He desperately needs an appearance in a game that's both good AND not a remake.

Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, or Garchomp would be nice.

Anyways, I remember that on the Midway Forums I got into a heated debate on whether Ridley deserved to be a character or not. I disagreed, mainly cause what we'll get is... well a Charizard clone.

Speaking of Capcom characters, why aren't the biggies like Ryu and stuff included? They'd work really well, especially considering Ryu is a martial artist at heart.

Oh, and regarding Ridley, he was in beta for Brawl, but they decided to scrap him upon trying to resize him.

I'd also like to (humorously) see Strong Bad in a Smash game. His Final Smash would consist of him detonating one of his computers, and his attacks would consist of injokes and boxing gloves.

Ryu moveset~!
B - HADOUKEN (spam this)
Side B - uuuh. Whatever the heck that spinning around kick was called =p (Bypasses projectiles)
Down B - Focus attack (Bestows ryu temporary hyper armor and does a slow powerful hit that stuns the opponent and breaks shields)
Up B - Shoryuuken (Still has insane priority)

Actually now that I think about Ryu won't be that overpowered in brawl. =w=

Personally, the one character that did get a appearance in Brawl, but not the appearance I hoped is Knuckle Joe. They gave him a good beta moveset, personally, I would have waited for brawl a whole year if he would move from Assist Trophy to character.

I'd like to see Ridley as a character, despite how weird that'd get with the sizing issues. Another good Metroid character would be Mother Brain in her Super form... how awesome would that be?

I can't think of any other characters that I'd like to see added to the roster.

That misfit's a barrel of laughs! He totally deserves more than assist trophy status. His sharp appendages and long limbs would make him an awesome fighter. And his taunts! The possibilities are endless!

Peach is all dainty and stuff. Daisy's feisty. She has more of a fighting attitude than Peach does.

There is a reason why Waluigi isn't a character... he isn't great. (Fun Fact: Waluigi's first game appearance was a tennis game).

If a 4th Smash game is made, I wonder what Pokemon is replacing Lucario... Garchomp? No, it would be a 5th gen Pokemon most likely.

Yeah, that and Japan LOVES Zoroark insanely more than they did with Lucario.

Like lucario, Zoroark is the generation "representative." Im not sure if luca will be replaced or not though. For all we know mewtwo might even come back. =w=
