How do you think a game or story that combined the two would play out?
I think it would be a very interesting change from the usual tournament and battle business. 
Imagine a pokemon as the main character (lucario? floatzel?) in a haunted mansion, where he has to rescue a dear friend of his, who entered the mansion for some reason. But finding his friend is not that simple and once he does, escape won't be simple either.

A point-and-click investigative Pokemon spinoff wouldn't really be all that great. If that's all you do in it, that basically defeats the purpose of Pokemon: even PMD and games like PokePark have some sort of battling/collecting/minigame elements. |

1: If you look carefully at the character's movements, you'll see that it's controlled by a keyboard, not clicks, therefore, it's not a point-and-click game. 2: If you look carefully, the character in the game DOES fight. There will be self-defense in the hypothetical game. The character also collects items if you watched the video. 3: The whole point of the game is to be DIFFERENT from the usual Pokemon game. That involves how the game is played. |
