So like, yeah, Ive been playing Piano on my own for bout 2 years now.
My known songs are relativly short, such as:
Zelda Lost Woods
Single Hand Zelda main Theme
Single Hand [Meaning very simple] Mario Theme
Single Hand Tetris Theme

A little more difficult ones are:
Sadness and Sorrow
Organization XIII Theme
Wind [Naruto First Ending]

And these are just ones I've started but never finished
Wind
Passion[KH2 opening theme]
Dearly Beloved
Cynthia, Before the Battle
Anger of the Earth[By Nomak, not Tekken]
HG/SS Champion Fight Theme
Animal Crossing Wild World Main Menu Theme

So if you have any more suggestions just errr post them ya know?
Oh and try to keep them a little simple..its hard to memorize every single one of these by heart.
And a note, I dont really read music, so if you do have the notes, then uhm great ill see what i Can do.

I'm not any good at playing keyboards. I have trouble playing both parts at the same time. If I could get it right I'd be able to play Tetris A. :3

I can play a number of Pokémon and Mario songs on the piano.

I had no practice for playing these and only had a single take. I had to slam the keys hard because it was loud in there.

I only play violin. I'm kinda sucks at it though. Although I can read music to some extent, I prefer to learn songs by ear. That's how I learned a good amount of BGM from video games.

I took piano lessons for a few months, up through the first basic book. Then my free time began dwindling and my parents would no longer allow me. Now I learn songs on my own, or practice them for fun.

These are the songs I know fairly well, though not perfectly, and not always all the way through:

Intro to "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay
Beginning progression to "Love Song" by Sara Barellis (sp?) which consists of pretty much entirely the whole song because it repeats so much
A special arrangement of "Calling to the Night" from Metal Gear Op. (?)
The first half of "Midna's Desperation"

And these are the ones I know well and have been practicing extensively:

"Right Here Waiting for You"
"A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton
"Clocks" by Coldplay
"Speed of Sound" by Coldplay
"How To Save A Life" by The Fray
"A Secret Garden"
"Scarborough Fair" by Simon and Garfunkel

...I feel like I'm missing some, but those are most, if not all, that I can play. ^^

My sister also plays the violin, she uses the exact method as you, listen to the music other than reading it. She always gets in trouble.

Does it really matter how it's learned as long as the result is just as good? I learn most everything on guitar and bass by ear. (Though I don't know many who read actual sheet music for guitar. Tablature FTW! )
