I just don't like the graphics really. I can't help but feel like they're just not pushing the game hard enough for what the DS can handle.

The art style of the game map is fine, but it's essentially just a change in the angle of the camera. This just doesn't seem like a revolution to me.

I like seeing the entire sprite of my Pokemon, but what about straight-up 3-D battles?

But I digress. Maybe some other gameplay component revealed in the future will hook me in.

Yeah, I have to go with my bro on this. You just saw a town/city "Ohhhh! Pretty!" To let you know that was sarcasm. I think the DS can do better and some of it can be down right ugly at times. This forces me to say "Nintendo, and Gamefreak...I'm dissapointed in you. This is a is disgrace and I expect better of you. I've seen Kingdom Hearts on the DS do better and even Zelda ,but this is below both of them, if it's going to be the same thing then I'm not going to waste $40.00, there's much more better use I can use it for. Like a Sonic game or a Final Fantasy game, if you're gonna go fat-ass and don't do a thing to change gameplay I will officially never buy another Pokemon game until it changes!!!" And then Nintendo's response would probably be " I don't care what you think this series is making money and we are not stoping!" and my response would be "If you wanna go with the same formula then I'm not buying another Pokemon game, you are a bunch of lazy asses Nintendo, I HAD ENOUGH! IF YOU ARE GOING TO GO WITH THE SAME OLD FORUMLA AND NOT IMPRESS ME YOU HAVE LOST 1 MORE FAN, GOOD DAY SIR! "

No need for to bash or curse bro. It's just a game.

I'm incredibly impressed. I can see why people would like the traditional style, but we've got 4 generations of games for that. Finally something new in the 5th.

Alright, enough with bashing. I need to know more about this.

This has been a turn off for some people. Me, mostly. Which is why I skipped some versions of the games. But Nintendo has been known for recycling things a lot. Not that it's necessarily bad all the time, but it would be nice to put some effort into newer releases. I hope this break from 2D birds eye viewing is more widespread ingame.

Eh, well the graphics seem better, but it just doesn't look like there executing it correctly.

Exactly what I was thinking, my friend.
"Oh look, (s)he's walking left. What an awesome thing!" You know what else would be awesome? Being able to see new Pokémon. But that won't happen because Nintendo of Jap. likes to screw with us, by showing little things we may only look at for all of 30 seconds.
Frank(furter)ly, I'd like to see in greater detail what's on the billboard-cube-thing above the Pokémon Center/Mart.

Okay, so the 3D looks incredible and all, but we're getting bored of seeing the same stuff over and over again. I hate when they start making Pokémon fans more eager to see what's to come next. I hope we get some more exciting news and/or features, other than what we already saw, next month.

I just need more right now to be convinced this is a "new direction." Otherwise I think my branch of the fan base (old-school gamers back in the days of Red and Blue) will simply avoid this.

I just hope this isn't their main feature for the game, and knowing Game Freak, I think it isn't.

Nintendo is certainly mean with their snippets of gameplay, but at least we're seeing something. Look at the Zelda game for Wii this summer. I haven't seen any gameplay and Japan is suppose to get it by the end of this year.

Any previews Nintendo gives have more value than with other companies.

Nintendo does have some very tight safeguards for information: GameFreak is under a corporate choke order for everything they develop, for instance (at least I think). I would like to see something else, though.

I like the graphics. They look kinda cheezy with the new 3-D, but sooner or later they'll make it more sharper.
