Hello everyone!
Today, Victory Road gets a very great addition - an addition that was anticipated by several ones of you, and will surely get all of you excited. Today marks the official release of the Gym League, with a fully-detailed guide that explains everything you need to know about the whole system. Without any further delay, check out the following threads:

Victory Road's official Gym League guide
Gym Leader application thread
Questions & Suggestions to the Gym League system

Here's a list of people who have taken part, in some way or another, in bringing the Gym League into existence:

Spoiler Alert:

Sunny - Suggested the idea before I came to the forums.
Shadow - The official member responsible for writing the guide and executing the League.
Cat333Pokémon - Provided continuous support and suggestions to me while planning the League.
The Spirit of Time - Provided support in terms of layout and structure of the League.

Thanks a lot guys for your contribution. Its really appreciated!

Lastly, enjoy your time everyone! May Victory Road aim for even bigger additions in the future!

So this was the feature we had a mystery thread about?

I've got a good word for it.

Anticlimax (an·ti·cli·max)
Pronunciation: \-ˈklī-ˌmaks\
Function: noun
Date: 1710

1 : the usually sudden transition in discourse from a significant idea to a trivial or ludicrous idea; also : an instance of this transition
2 : an event, period, or outcome that is strikingly less important or dramatic than expected

This is partly my fault, though. Normally when I see a thread like that I think it's something that will completely change the forums.

You're just mad because you can't do it.

I'm supposing you meant to write "can't" there, meaning that I'm mad that I can't be a gym leader.

My answer: No. I'd suck at gym leading, so I don't really care.

EDIT: Also I'd appreciate it if you'd stop trolling me. If this continues, I'll report you to cat.

This looks really cool, and I think it will attract new members as well!! Plus it will be interesting to see what teams the leaders make using only one type of Pokemon...

Remember that gym leaders have to have teams which contain at least 2 Pokémon of the type they represent, with the other Pokémon supporting/related to them. They don't have to create teams of only one type.

Ohh, I guess that makes sense for certain types that have trouble covering their weaknesses. And for "related to" do you mean stuff like, say Clefable in a Psychic Gym for example?

I mean, if you're running a Fire Gym, you will want to make sure you cover your Pokémon's Water weakness. So, you might have an Electric type Pokémon on your team.
Other support Pokémon include ones which might lay entry hazards, provide an increase in HP to the others, make use of their member's typing, etc.

Hey Sunny! We must not give our challengers any hint about our team you know...

I am willing to be a Steel GYM leader. My team is willing to start the battles!

As stated before, you must have at least 2, preferably 3, Pokémon of the type you are representing.

People, please make sure you have read the guide thoroughly and understood it. I have received some PMs containing application forms from people wanting to become gym leaders. I will not regard any of those PMs until registrations start.
Also, one more thing: you have to apply in the "Gym Leader application thread", then send me your team only through a PM.

I can't wait to fight against some of the leaders, but I'll never be type-exclusive. The best I could do is Electric type (and then my team would consist of Raichu, Luxray, Magnezone, Electivire, Jolteon, and a 6th).

I hope I can be electric because I already have my team pretty much all planned out. Now to put that dream into action.

This is probably a stupid question but is this going to be on here or on Wi-Fi on a DS? And secondly I have pretty much every Pokemon on my Diamond. I'll choose a type most people don't want to have Bug Type.

That's not a bad idea, there are lots of good bugs. Plus it doesn't seem like the Bug type is in high demand.

Well pokezam had this thing called "ZamFights" (I think it's still up) that was like a browser version of the pokemon games. We could do something like that.

Unless it was as powerful as something like NetBattle, it wouldn't be worth it. It's more fun training a team rather than just creating or using Pokésav/AR on one.

Surely, an Earthquake-abusing Pokémon, like the super strong physical Metagross, would destroy your whole Electric team

Wi-fi on DS (or optionally, if the leader has PBR, he might want to allow battles over it).

I personally dislike NetBattle. You are not able to keep track of what's happening because it is missing animations, and the log of the battle is really confusing.

This is also not the place to ask. Go to the thread for sign-ups if you are interested, but you have to be truly devoted to it.
