I'm making a team Brawl tournament, and this tournament is for fun =D
Rules:
Stock on 3
Stage Random OR Choose (If stage is chosen W/E stage it falls on you fight on)
Items on
NO FRIENDLY FIRE(MOST IMPORTANT RULE)
Make sure you have wifi
If you have no partner when the signup's are over, you well get a teammate that doesn't have a partner
No cheap items (Ray gun, Lighting, Timer, Fan etc.)
You have to stick with the same character

Why are you posting this now? Wait until April until it's finalized that you even get the spot for a tourney...we currently have 2 tourneys that are on postponed status...why make a 3rd one. =|

Yes, it does seem a tad pre-mature to mention this topic, since there are already two tournaments being talked about at the moment. Although that doesn't mean I'm not excited for this one.

Did you people read the original post? This is intended as a small for fun side-tournament, not a full one.

And yes small tournaments like this are allowed in addition to the main ones.

I think we should open a poll as to whether or not we are able to pick our teammates or not. It would make sense to randomize it all, but the way things are going right now, people would like to choose their partners.

(personally, if Mandy was on my team, then I could live a lot easier knowing she's out to help me rather than trying to kill me)

I can't even think which to choose? Random partner would or could be fair. But choosing your partner would be even better... =/

I am the randomizer, I know who you're going to be teamed up with, so as Pika. But I kinda want to be on certain teams. So, I pick randomized.

That's completely UNFAIR for everyone if you let people choose their teammates

Give people time to play with their teammates by announcing the brackets with teams early, but don't bork it with "Choose your own" teammates.

Now...If Josh doesn't listen...then wanna be my teammate, Ayun? 1st and 2nd placers will kick the most butt for sure.

Well, I would like to choose our partner. But, there would be trouble if more than one person wanted to choose someone, but people would have more fun brawling with their friends.

But if we had a random partner, maybe some (or most) people would probably not show up,(Like in the Brawl Tourney, which failed) but like what LiteTheIronMan said, it would probably give the tournament more of a twist.

So I'm kinda stuck on that one. (And aren't Friendly-fire attacks blocked in Team Brawls?)

How about you let the people who want to pick their teams, be in their teams, everyone who wants it random, randomize that group of people? Its about half that want to pick and half that doesnt. So the people who want to pick their team can be teamed with someone else who wants to pick their team, the people who want to be with random people can be teamed with someone else who wants random.

I agree, it is a rather ingenious idea. It prevents people who are new to the site from feeling awkward when they don't know anyone, and also the people who don't know who they want to be paired up with. I support it whole-heartedly.

Its a bit on the awkward side, but could work extremely well. If it goes through, I'll be random, so as to not short-change newcomers.
