The official Pokemon site has posted that Jirachi will be distributed by Gamestop from Feb 27th to March 5th.

Name:Jirachi

Ball: Cherish Ball
Held Item: Liechi Berry
Ribbons: Classic Ribbon
Moves: Wish

Rest
Draco Meteor (normally unlearnable by Jirachi)

Transferring this Jirachi to the Pokewalker from HG/SS will unlock a new area called "Night Sky's Edge"

(On a side note this has been known about by the ROM community for a while since the Pichu event cart was dumped and was found to contain this event when the day on the DS was set between Feb 20th and March 14th)

^ Yeah, I was thinking that I'd get a Jirachi on HG/SS but then I noticed that the event ends on March 5th.

I guess I need to go to GameStop this weekend.

Hopefully my sister knows where her DS is, or I won't be able to transfer the Jirachi. O_O

This will be my first event Pokemon if I actually decide to go and get it, hehe.

It actually ends on the 13th, not on the 5th as stated above. So it in fact ends the day before HG/SS come out... probably to drum up hype and garner pre-orders close in advance.

This is the same Jirachi as the Nintendo Zone one, right?
If that's the case, then I'm not really bothered much about this event. One of my friends already got the NZ Jirachi, and he's willing to do a trade-back with me so that I can unlock the special course in the PokéWalker.

I only have to drive 10 minutes or walk 2 hours (or something like that) to get to GameStop.
