It has finally been told- Super Mario Galaxy 2, originally to be released around Holiday 2009, but bumped back to sometime this year, has been slated for a (permanent?) May 23, 2010 release date. This was confirmed in a Nintendo of America tweet from the Nintendo Summit, stating:

Well that's awsome, now only if they'd reveal the release date for the other M.

YAY, that's only three months away!

I expected this reveal at E3, not sooner, but excellent news nonetheless. With HG/SS, I'm going to have quite a bit of gaming to do this summer.

Hey I got my wish, the other m is coming out June 21.

Now I wish they'd annouce a release date for Kirby Wii

From what I've read, that Mario head is supposed to serve as the hub. That dragon boss looks pretty awesome, and that bird reminds me of Ho-oh.

I only have so much money to squander... With HGSS, the DSi XL, and Other M already in line, I don't have any money to get Galaxy 2. The release date just made it worse. I was hoping for a holiday release.
