Remember that shadow that was shown on Pokémon Sunday? CoroCoro has just released full details.




The shadowed one is known as Zoroark. He is a dark type and is the Monster Fox Pokémon. The other one is his pre-evo Zorua, the Evil Fox Pokémon.

This information was just confirmed true by Serebii.net.

I'm not even going to bother the Japanese names.

I think I just decided the first member of my fifth generation team. ^_^

The new Pokémon look really decent.
I can't wait for more information to be revealed on them.

Doesn't this go against the games/anime's earlier assertion that there is no such thing as an 'evil' Pokémon?

In all seriousness, I am actually surprised they look as good as they do. The blood-red coloring with the fact that its a dark type could mean GameFreak is planning on a more E10+ rating for the games later on, too.

Actually...

I'm not interested. This Pokemon, due to my preferences in typing, won't be on my team. All this proves to me is that the next movie is indeed a Gen 5 reveal, and that Gen 5 is in the works.

Although, the baby form looks so cute. =w=

I don't know. On the one hand, I like Dark type pokemon, and a Dark/Fighting pokemon would be useful. On the other hand, I hate Lucario, and this pokemon looks like the new Lucario.

I thought be more excited about this when I first figured out but I'm not I guess I'm not pleased until I see game footage.

ALright, edited it up a bit and it looks a LOT better.
Unfortunatly it's still at the point where you'd have to be told what it is before you knew.
Of course my Luxio mii is brilliant and I know it would still require that...

I actually prefer the fan art. Seems a bit more accurate as to what it should look like. The actual art seems a little awkward and has strange color distribution.

But oh well. I look forward to playing with this guy. If a PBR2 comes out, his attacks will probably look cool.

There is the question of why he can disguise himself. Does this signal he knows the move, transform (making three official Pokemon who can actually learn it) or does this signal new moves for the series? Or even a new ability perhaps?

I doubt this ability is just based on the movie. It has to be a preview of what we can expect in the future.

A small discussion, but none-the-less interesting to think about.

To be honest, Zoroark's face is awful. I don't know why, but seriously, he looks as if his face got smashed. O_O

I won't give my precise opinion on the 2 new Pokémon until more information about them, such as stats and moves, are revealed.

Yeah me too, but if Zoroark's classified as uber I wouldn't use him much then unless I want an uber battle.

I think I'll be giving my Zorua an everstone, because I prefer its cuteness to Zoroark's scariness. Also, why is Zoroark named after a gym leader?

oyea, there's TONS of fan art about Zoroark and Zorua.

I keep forgetting this place is competitive, so all the comments about waiting for stats and attacks keep throwing me off.

I bet its gonna be quick with a good attack stat. Like lucario, only with lack of special attack and maybe a larger attack stat then him instead. :V I really wanna use this guy in battle~! =w=

The way I see it, Zoroark IS the new Lucario. Gets his own movie, but not legendary because he has a baby form, Probably way over powered. The only reason I'm debating using him is because he's Dark.

and i was right about the dark type yay^^
i luv dark types so this one will be totaly in my team

By having the first Pokemon dark, I am sure that we will have a dark gym leader and many other dark Pokemon. However, it would have been better if it was fighting as well; it would cover its weakness.
