I was trying to delete my own social group "Internet Explorer users" and was greeted with "insufficient permissions" error page. Any ideas?

Social groups used to allow threads to be posted into them instead of the main boards, and the deletion of a social group is considered a "hard" deletion (meaning it is erased from the database). I didn't want to allow anyone the ability to hard delete any posts from public spaces besides by admins, so I disabled deletion of social groups except by admins. After I realized that all that was posted in the groups was spam, a waste of time, and a necessitation of moderation, I disabled posting anything in them beyond adding album photos but forgot to enable group deletion.
