Hello Victory Road! This Summer has been awesome so far with all of the tournaments and battles. What better way could we end it other than having a BIG Tournament!? The BIGGEST tournament Victory Road has ever had!

Ladies and gentlemen I'd like to present to you MattyBrollic's Indigo League Tournament!

The idea behind this tournament is to take Victory Road's most elite battlers and pit them against each other in a large tournament to determine Victory Road's Champion of Champions!

What I would like to do, if this tournament gets a big enough turnout, is host this tournament once every 6 months to allow the Champion of Champions title to be defended more than once a year! So the tournament would take place during Summer vacation and Winter vacation. OKAY, on to the tournament.

It will be an Over Used tournament only forbidding the use of Ubers. This does not mean you are required to use OU Pokémon, however. You may bring what ever you enjoy using and or what you think will get the job done. It will be DOUBLE ELIMINATION. There will NOT be a single final match to determine the winner like there was in my first tournament, everyone except for the winner will have to lose twice for the tournament to end.

The tournament will begin on August 1st which is a week from this Saturday and it will span until August 22nd, a couple of days before college students such as myself will be going back to school!

What do you guys think? I would love to have a HUGE turn out! Even if you aren't a serious competitive battler, you should join because it will be fun! Let's make this a memorable end to a great Summer on Victory Road, the forum that we all know and love!!!!!!!!!!!

Certainly interesting. I am curious, though, as to whether it will be Singles or Doubles, and how many Pokémon each side is allowed. But I certainly will give it a shot.

The format will be singles with Smogon-ish rules. I will update the OP when I come up with the exact rule set!

We should make a VR smogon-ish ruleset for us here. Like we can choose who to ban or not. (I know we had this idea, but we havnt made one yet)

Yeah, I brought the idea of making our own rules similar to OU but not copying their sillier bans (such as we'd allow Blaziken without Speed Boost) up with Reun a few months ago, and he seemed genuinely supportive of the idea back then.

Me and Matty could help, we have some experience at this stuff. Others can join to on this idea.

A VR-specific tiering would be pretty cool. If that's going to be a project I'd certainly like to help in any way I could.

So much free food...) so I'll try to use that if I can if my placement in the tournament's going to drag out to that week. Won against Matt Engarde 5-0. He has a tricky team and has a lot of potential for someone who has not battled since gen 4!
