I bought a copy of Leaf Green off Ebay so I can have a team in the game and transfer it over to XY, except for the fact that game won't migrate for some reason but everything else about the game seems legit.

Is it refusing to show up on the opening menu of the Gen IV game (where you have unlocked the pal park, correct)?

Yes, and it's weird because I'm able to transfer Pokemon from my Emerald.

Could you get a picture of the cartridge? Fakes are really common on eBay, sadly.

Well this is a lot more legit the previous one.

As I've said no problems other then the refusal to migrate. The cartridge is incredibly legit except for the fact it's really easy to open.

Yes take a pic of the cart. Is the label shiny? If not it's a fake. Also look at the cartridge contacts, they should have Nintendo above them on the board.

Actually just looking from that pic it's fake. The E for the ESRB logo is way too skinny, the Nintendo/Nintendo Seal of Quality logos doesn't look right, I don't see any indented numbers in the right of the label, and the cartridge doesn't look slightly transparent. It should look more like this:

The fact you say it's easy to open is another giveaway, a lot of those were just snap cases with no tri-wing screw holding them together like the actual cart. The GBA Pokemon games were very popular to fake, you need to be very careful when buying online. Heck, my Emerald was the third cartridge I got since the first two were bootlegs (all from GameStop non the less. They had a few more bootlegs in the display case as well).

Here is a great article for helping you identify bootlegs.

Your best bet is to trade your Pokémon to another game (if you even can do that); just trade for a bunch of Zigzagoon or something. Then report a problem on eBay for receiving a counterfeit product. You should be able to get a refund.

Well at least I'm able to play the game.

I wonder if I would be able to trade.

I'll probably never get a legit copy.

Thank you for the help.
