Seems like the Humble Bundle folks are on a roll these days!

Games on the list:

  • Dead Space
  • Dead Space 3*
  • Crysis 2: Maximum Edition
  • Mirror's Edge
  • Medal of Honor

Beat the Average:
  • Battlefield 3*
  • The Sims 3 + Starter Pack*
    • Late Night
    • Date Night DLC (Will be up later)
    • Design & High-End Stuff Pack
    • Date Night is removed, and the remaining titles are now separate keys.

* denotes games redeemable on Origin only

I'm expecting Week 2 bonuses sooner or later, too.

(Also, if you have Steam or physical copies of Sims 3 and registered the games and their expansions and/or stuff packs, they should also show up in Origin.)

Eh, it's mostly EA stuff, and I'm not too interested in it this time around, not to mention I don't like the DRM.

Hmm, what's the bit about DRM you don't like?

I don't like Steam and Origin. In fact, that's often why I buy these bundles: so I can get some fun games without running DRM software in the background every time I want to play them.

Heh, I guess opinions differ from person to person.

I'm fine with most forms of DRM as long as I can play things offline.

Then again, I barely have any space for storing games physically, so I guess I'm a bit biased for digital.

I've got plenty of space for physical games. I've also had a lot of problems with Steam and just hate having to deal with it.

I'll buy it for Crysis 2 alone. There goes my $1.

Hmm. I'm not particularly interested in the games there that I don't already have, but at one dollar it's really tempting.

Why are they offering steam downloads for an origin based bundle

Heh.

Seeing as you have a lot of physical games... hey, ever tried entering a code for a physical EA game on Origin?

I've never actually used Origin.

More people will buy it and they they get more dollars. But then there's the one game that's for Origin but not Steam so that they can say it's an Origin bundle since you have to have Origin to play every single game.

But EA is donating their share to charity, so they're not actually getting dollars. I mean I guess they just want more people to donate? Maybe?

Yeah they wanna donate more dollars, they wanna be helpful good-guys. I hadn't even heard of Origin up until this bundle, and I along with many people probably wouldn't have bothered with it if it wasn't for Steam as well. They would've had wimpy sales.

I know that Battlefield 3 always required Origin to play, with that being the only reason anyone ever used Origin in the first place.

Sometimes I think Origin simply hasn't been given a fair enough chance by many people. I actually was pleasantly surprised when the copies of Sims 3 and their expansions I bought and registered on Steam and Sims 3's own mini-site made it to Origin.

I actually went with BTA. I really should try playing more FPSes these days... I'm very rusty with regards to them, and I thought I really should give Medal of Honor and Battlefield 3 a try someday.

Also...

I wonder whether my laptop can run Crysis 2 well... I know that pretty much everything can run on this at medium-low at the very least, but Crysis?

The Humble Bundle people basically forced them to. They wanted the bundle to be as "humble" as they could, only sacrificing what they absolutely could not give (i.e. Battlefield 3 on Steam).

This is a really awesome bundle. I've wanted to try out Battlefield 3 and Mirror's Edge for ages, and I won't pass up another opportunity to play Burnout Paradise once again!

They just added Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3: Uprising and Populous. Yes, the 1989 game.

Wow, they don't hand-hold in the old days! Looks like I might need to find a manual, fast.

It's these type of people who sicken me, especially since the are in theory taking money from charity.
