Cat was going to make this into a pointless thread anyways so I might as well be a hypocrite.

Best way to celebrate is with this.

A song OTHER than "America F*** Yeah!"? I am so surprised. I thought everyone on the internet had the same thoughts 24/7.

I'm only doing the fireworks at the state capital today. I can't stand cookouts at my relatives' house anymore, and I'm busy with other things. Celebrating this holiday is so difficult when you're not patriotic. : P

iHOORAY AMERICA!

Today will be a big day for me. My father is the ambassador of a country which I will leave unnamed, which means that our residence is where the big 4th of July blow-out will occur. People have been preparing for days, and yesterday I walked into the kitchen to see about 1000 chicken wings, crates of hot dogs, and bags upon bags of buns. A long red carpet and various decorations are all over, and I am expected to greet guests at the front door. Woo!

I would have been going to a fireworks show and relaxing more if I didn't have a dang final exam tomorrow for a class where the teacher is mysterious and unforgiving on test grades.

I planned on celebrating with this.

Anything other than 4Kids singing the Star Spangled Banner, or America F*** Yeah would have done IMO.

I think this also counts as a Fourth of July song

I think she performed that song live last year.

Wanna hear MY Fourth of July song? He IS an American.

But nope, to celebrate the anniversary of us splitting from Britain I'm listening to British music.

My Fourth of July thing isn't a song, but...

Also, my neighbors were setting off fireworks last night. ._.

Happy Fourth of July everyone!
And hello! This is my first day here. And thankfully for once a forum where nobody spells like a band of rapscallions. Everyone makes sure not to blast their fingers off with fireworks tonight. You all still need to kick my ass at Pokemon. I only do good movesets, not EV training.

Well, it's not even fully dark out yet and people are whipping out the fireworks. Most of them feel like they're getting set off right next to my house- I can feel the ground shake every time one of those goes off.

People have been rather inconsiderate here. I've been hearing them in the wee hours of the morning (past 2 am) since the end of June.

I think I'm used to the shake since there's usually at least one moron launching fire works every week.

Here are some pics, I know they're terrible.

The fireworks scared my dog. Then, he just got excited. He ran around happily for a while before he tired out and took a nap.

I know it's the day after, but what do you expect in New York at a time of the year like this?

"Who cares if fireworks are a little bit ILLEGAL in Maryland. Let's set them off in our highly forested area! Woo, AMERICA!"

Oh, they're very illegal here too, as everything is dry. Doesn't stop people from grabbing them from the Native American reservations.

The irony of celebrating America in ways that defy American laws.

I think this map is slightly accurate.

I know most people in the area go out to Pennsylvania for Fire Works where I live.

I celebrated by sticking sparklers inside marshmallows. Worst smelling 4th of July ever.
