Technology → Wired or wireless networks, or both?

If you had to make a computer network, how would you make it happen?

Me? I stick with pure wireless if I can do it, though I do have an Ethernet cable just in case the Wi-Fi antennas are on the fritz. Only the laptop gets to connect, then, though, and anything else will have to piggyback on the laptop's shared Wi-Fi (which is less than optimal). Helps that everything working in the old home and also my gadgets in my room are all wireless-capable.

I also use Ethernet cables to divert priority to myself

If near the router, wired. If away (typically out of the room), wireless. If a device only offers one or the other, then whichever it has. Easy.

I think a lot of nerds have done that.

Well I have only ever used wireless (laptop) but I would prefer wired because when I am on my families desktop (wired) I feel it performs much better than wireless.

I'm a pretty stationary dude, even with my laptop which barely moves from my desk. I much prefer having a wired connection as it definitely shows its superior speed. The only times I don't like it are when I go to a relative's house with my laptop and they hog the internet.
But I'm also a mostly mobile device person. Like phone, iPod, DS, etc. Because of this I've grown on having a wireless connection on me as a nice, quick, n'easy option so I can't really choose. 50/50.

Wireless for me. Though if I was close enough to my router, I'd probably go with wired.
