Now that we have Black 2 and White 2, let's think back for a second and see if you guys still remember these old games. Relatively old speaking.
I don't, unfortunately.
1 – GalliumGrant(oh god I thought you were isbragg for a second)
I actually restarted Platinum about a month ago, though when I restarted SoulSilver not long after that I instantly forgot about it.
1 – GalliumGrantSure, I remember it well, but I don't play it anymore unless I need to send Pokemon over. When running around Pokemon Centers in SoulSilver, it all looks so 2D and it makes you realise how much it changed.
2 – SpikyEaredPichu96, GalliumGrantI'm actually gonna replay both Diamond and Platinum (Never played Pearl
) so's that I can remember what I've been through and how much fun it was. I've already played Diamond 3 times, and Platinum was only once, so I want to do them again back to back (And one of them Nuzlocked.) While not in the thread title, I'm also gonna be restarting HG soon so that I can play it properly, now that I've given up on Black Rayquaza. I rushed through it the first time I played and missed a lot.
I've recently started to replay through Diamond version again. Even though Gen 4 was my least favorite generation, it still is quite a bit of fun to play through.
1 – RotomGuy
1 – TurtwigXPlatinum is my personal favorite Pokemon game I do believe. Unfortunately, I don't wish to restart it on the game card, however, since a friend of mine taught me the method of EV training, I'm going to start doing just that on my Platinum and Diamond versions over Winter break~! :3
It's been a little while since I've played Platinum, which is my favorite game to come out of the 4th gen. In fact, I'd say that Platinum is tied for my 2nd favorite Pokémon game, along with Blue version (my favorite being Fire Red). It could be due to nostalgia. The music, the routes, the gyms, they just all fit together perfectly in my opinion and progressing in it felt very satisfying.
Maybe I'll go back to Platinum and restart it one day.
2 – PureAurorae, TurtwigXIf it counts, I've been playing Pearl quite a bit these last few weeks both to go on a nostalgia trip and to figure out which Pokémon I wanted to bring forward to Pokémon X. The Super Contests are quite silly, but they were fun back in the day. My current goal is to get a bunch of ribbons on a particular Blaziken, the one I've had since Sapphire.
I also started a new game on Platinum around last summer, but I wanted to take a break from Pokémon so I wouldn't be bored by the time X and Y came out.
Now that they're turning off the Wi-Fi I have to live it up in Platinum's Wi-Fi Plaza and relive the good ol' days with my Chimmy and TurtwigX. I frequently visit the Battle Frontier to score some BP and see Dahlia in all her beauty, I really love the Battle Arcade. There's not much else I can do with the Wi-Fi, but I know I'll always have Platinum for (almost) first game nostalgia.
