You have no option of extending it, and you can't access any cloud services.

Better yet, the operating system itself takes up a big chunk of the storage due to it being a smartphone OS, leaving you with only around 2.4 GB of space.

What would you fill it with? Would you leave a good amount of space, or maximize space usage?

(For reference: 4-minute 128 kbps music file = ~3.75 MB, 5-minute 1.4 Mbps VGA video = ~52.5 MB, 100 5 MP photos = ~200 MB)

(Also, do you think it's possible to do a lot with only 4 GB?)

It's possible if you dedicate yourself to good organization of files on your phone. Mine only takes up 1GB when it's fully organized.

Just transfer things to your PC regularly [if it has such a link, though since it has a smartphone OS I assume it has] and it won't clutter up and take up space.

My phone has 10MB of memory. 4GB would be an upgrade.

I love how you ask every question for smart phones and I respond of being the one person in the world who doesn't use/want one.

Woah, 4 gigs of space on my phone?! Dude, that's an upgrade!

Edit: I posted that before reading Yoshi's post. Also, MIDI.

*looks at his feature phone that came with 2 GB of microSD storage out of the box*

...Even today's feature phones come close. Mmm hmm.

I guess I'll post again with a better answer. I really have absolutely no need for any real amount of space on my phone except maybe space to hold some captured pictures and videos if it has an alright camera. I've got other pieces of tech to handle pretty much anything else.

(Honestly, that thread title screams, "First World Problems.")

Assuming we are on the a Apple device, I would most likely jailbreak the phone. Then I would use a computer to take all my pictures and music, and compress them into a zip file. I would only unzip the files I currently wanted to view or listen to on the device itself. Then, I would rezip it and move onto the next one.

I have a 32GB iPhone 4S... I don't know what I'd do if it were only 4... I would most likely keep certain pictures I have, namely the ones of all my... Pokemon... And such. And my music, which is only 258MB. And of course bookmarks and such which are only a couple kilobytes, blah blah.

My phone has 4 Gigs of storage. And while it's true that it can be easily filled with apps or whatever, I don't really care. All the content I need is stored safely on my 8 Gig SD card, which isn't even half full after all the games I've downloaded, songs I've got, and pictures I've taken (A lot of which need to be moved and/or deleted.)

Cat, Yoshi, stop being so oooooold.
