Pokémon General → When do you think Gen VI will be revealed?

Generation 5 has been going on for more then two years now, when do you think it will end no that all the event legendaries have been revealed.

I think it will be revealed sometime between now and April and it will come out by the end of next year.

If Nintendo continues its trend of releasing generations, I don't think we'll see a generation VI game until 2014 at the least. The Japanese release dates for each generation usually happen between three to four years apart from each other.

What I mean exactly     
Remember: These are the Japanese release dates.

1st Gen - Feb. 1996

2nd Gen - Nov. 1999

3rd Gen - Nov. 2002

4th Gen - Sep. 2006

5th Gen - Sep. 2010



6th Gen will probably be released in Japan around September of 2014 and the rest of the world will probably get it in early to mid 2015. Just my view on things.

Yeah and next year it will be three years, that and I can imagine Game Freak is getting a lot of pressure from Nintendo to release a main series game for 3DS.

I understand Yoshi, but don't you know Mag is impatient and wants the next Gen of Pokémon games to always be coming out? The moment Gen VI is released he's going to be talking about the release of Gen VII.

How soon after HGSS was released here did we get BW revealed?

I don't think it happened for a year at the least. I think you just need to be patient, Mag, and enjoy Gen V while it's here.

The game was released like 4 months ago. 5th Gen started 2 years ago. I think we can be allowed to speculate.
I've enjoyed Gen V to the fullest, and I've gotta say that it's pretty advanced for a DS game. I would have to agree with Quad with it being a 2014 release or so, because I know they HAVE to have something up their sleeves for 2013. I can't predict what yet, though. They've already confused me thoroughly with BW2 (I hope it's the game with a "True Story")

2013 might bring us those ruby and sapphire remakes but you never know.

I give it at most two years from now. No matter how we like something, something's gotta go, especially when your system is essentially dead... It might not even be for the DS anymore, huh?

In fact, if we don't hear anything about anything about the successor anytime in 2013, it'd be very strange.
