Today, Serebii updated with news regarding a new game which is said to be released on the 6th of March 2010. As I expected before, this game is a Ranger game with many new features and of course in a new region. Serebii also mentioned that a special Deoxys will be given to D/P/Pt/HG/SS. For more information check www.serebii.net and of course, discuss your thoughts here.

I think I am going to buy it as I liked the last Ranger game.

To provide more information:
The game is remoured to be called "Pokémon Ranger: Tracks of Light", and is set in the Oblivia region. The new evil team in the game is called Pokémon Nappers, and their leader is called Red Eye.

Now, what I'm confused about:

Does he mean the Wii's Nintendo Channel?
If yes, then it's probably only for the Japanese, right?

Not really. He means that more information will be released in that show. Also, this is just like the Ranger of Almia. First in Japan, and then in US. Strangely, the release date is so near! o_O

Still not sure, as I don't know if there's anything else called "Nintendo Channel" that's not the Wii's Nintendo Channel.
Let's wait for more members to post.

True. It is 8 days before the official release of the American HG/SS.

Well I can't wait to get it I have beaten the first two and I really liked the second! Really that seems too soon but I guess they finished it late and want it out before HG/SS.

Remember that the Japanese version will be released on that day, while I am dead sure that the English version will be released in September.

I still haven't played much of the second (and I own it). Maybe the third one will revitalize my interest in the Ranger games?

I'm really disapionted, they could at least come up with a new idea for a spin-off instead of the same old stuff

If you are right, then it will be timed perfectly for my birthday!

I'm slightly disappointed as well because of that, but from what I have seen, this game might be different.

Serebii says it'll be available in Japan on the Nintendo Channel (DS Demo part) and DS Download Stations (Those ones you occasionally find at gaming stores).
I'm not a big Ranger fan. I played through the first one and captured everything in it. I haven't played the second one, and I don't think I'll be that excited about this one. I don't know why, though.

Well, I personally enjoyed the Ranger games a lot, with the second one`s plot, ect., improving a great deal over the first. This sounds like it will be interesting, and the inclusion of riding the Legendary Beasts is quite likely an attempt at cross-promotion for Gen`ei no Hasha Z. The new concept of calling Pokémon through Ranger Signs intrigues me, though. Hopefully they`ll be more info soon. I`m a fairly big fan of the Ranger series, it`s good to see they`re continuing it.

Also, I`m pretty sure the Nintendo DSi has Demo Downloading features, so that may be what the trial will be for.

All DSes have DS Download Play. That's how you get the demos.

The ranger games feel a little repetitive to me. The sprite works great, music decent, storyline good too, just a lil too repetitive for my taste. Hopefully they'll spice it up a bit~!

glad to know I'm not the only one - Ranger is my favorite game series, and Shadows of Almia was the best, so if thie new game is anywhere near as good as that one, I'll be happy!

They should of made the Deoxys event in Ranger 3 permanent because Deoxys is hard to find these days.

I doubt it. Nintendo never makes things easy.

That's why they call them event pokemon, you can only get them during a certian event in time.
