So, fellow VR members...

How many legit shinies have you seen in your Pokemon experience? Even in all my time of playing, I have NEVER encountered a legit shiny.

Lets see... I've only met a handful, and I lost one rather tradgically. Here are my Legit shinies in chronologic order of meeting them and catching:

• Crystal Version - Nidoran ♀ (stupid kid restarted my game and saved...)
• FireRed - Phanpy (now Donphan)
• *Platinum - Kricketot (what a troll, caught on a game I could not save as I did not delete my real save)
• Diamond - Mightyena (trade with a friend, it is legit)
• Diamond - Grovyle (another friend trade)
• White - Golbat (now Crobat)

I've never caught a shiny other than the Red Gygarados, but that's easy to find in comparison to all the other ones. Really, I've never encountered an actual Shiny Pokémon running around in the grass, but I honestly couldn't care less about it.

The only legit one I currently have is a Drowsy, now a Hypno. I found it in HeartGold.

First thing I caught was a DISGUSTING ugly spider thing from Hoenn. Found in the Dreamyard's basement. I couldn't give up the opportunity, though, so I caught it. I didn't really want to, though...so I got rid of it.
Made up for it in Black 2. I was just strolling along a route, and then because I was too lazy to use a repel, I get jumped. By a SHINY Shelmet! WITH A SPEED BOOSTING NATURE. Sweep-master Accelgor here I come.
And now I'm SRing for a Black Rayquaza. At the time of this post, I have Soft Resetted 286 times. And I want to quit so badly... And just to think, I'll be doing the exact same thing with Giratina.

Most Shinies I have seen are in emerald

Emerald - Electrike, Shuppet, Wingull, Zubat.
Platinum - Bidoof.. ONLY A BIDOOF. But it made a great HM slave.
White- Mincinno, Basculin, Joltik.

In Emerald, I have encountered a Golbat and a Graveler. Captured both.

In Platinum, I encountered a Starly, but couldn't catch it since I had no Pokéballs. I later captured a Staravia, Roselia and Pikachu though.

I once reset my Crystal version just for kicks, and BAM! Shiny Totodile. I reset it later, though, like the idiot I was.

I've found shiny pokemon in every copy of a pokemon game I've owned

Ruby: Clampearl
Diamond: Sneasal
Platinum: Gastly
Heart Gold: Caterpe
Black: Klink

The Clamearl I traded away.
I evolved the Sneasal and I now use it for Wi-Fi battles.
I evolved the Gastly and also use it for Wi-Fi battles.
I traded the Caterpe for another shiny.
I couldn't keep the Klink because I was using a new game file while I already had a current game file.

I have the shiny Pichu and legendary beasts event pokemon.
I have the Shiny Red Gyrados
I've received a shiny Machamp, Rydon and Dragonite through trades.

Diamond - Golbat (found it in front of my friend too. Now it's a Crobat in my Soul Silver)
Soul Silver - Ponyta (my friend found two within 5 minutes and gave me one)

Sapphire - Remember that cutscene of Wally catching a Ralts with a Zigzagoon? Norman loaned Wally a shiny Zigzagoon (didn't know that was possible).

Oh, and event shinies. I pretty much have every one that counts. 3 Beasts (9 considering how many games I have them in) and the Pikachu-colored Pichu. I obtained a Shiny Breloom, Shiny Seismitoad, and Shiny something-else through trading...I just forget what it was...

My shinies not counting the red Gyarados are:
Crystal: Geodude
Sapphire: Minun
Emerald: Zubat
Pearl: Ralts
Platinum: Tentecruel, Bibarel, Roselia (x2), Shinx, and Eevee
Black: None yet ^_^'

Note: The 2 Roselia, Shinx, and Eevee were all obtained using the Pokeradar

I've only gotten 2 legit shines. Both being grass types. They were an Exeggcute, which I evolved but then lost it when my data got deleted. The other is a Deerling, which I evolved and I currently have.

I ran into a shiny Poochyena in Ruby, but that's it. I lack the motivation to soft reset for legendaries.

I've only ever encountered one legit shiny, and that was Darkrai. I activated my Action Replay to walk across the water from Fullmoon to Newmoon in Pearl, so I could battle Darkrai. I got there, and he was shiny. Problem is, I couldn't catch him

Other than that, I haven't encountered or caught a shiny. I hope one day that changes, though.

I've seen one (a Geodude), and then got one in a trade (a Cresselia ).

I recently encountered my first shiny while playing White. I was grinding before a gym and BAM! Shiny Lillipup. I plan on trading it over to my Black when I'm done with White. I also had a shiny Eevee which in now an Umbreon which I use for Wi-Fi battles. Also, someone on here gave me a shiny Snorunt and Ambipom sometime ago.

I encountered a shiny Butterfree playing Silver back a loooong time ago (like, 2001 or 2002..) and then encountered a shiny Poochyena in a 3rd gen game, I think it was Sapphire...

Firered: Safari Zone found a Paras
Diamond: Had my friend Yoshizard from VR chain a shiny Shinx and then traded him for a Squirtle. It's now a shiny Luxray in Platinum.
Heartgold: I found a shiny Psyduck on my sister's game, I caught it and she said I could trade it over to my game.
And I have a whole bunch more that are on Pokémon Ranch, but I'll check those and tell you later.

I saw a Shiny Plusle in the Battle Arcade in HG. And i had shiny Mew in Emerald. Also a Geodude in Diamond. Great slave

Isnt there a way to get to see shines alot easier and faster? Meaning how do you get them to appear more often?? Because the only shiny iv seen was a Shiny Shroomish.

I recently got this while going through Mt. Mortar in Pokemon HeartGold. ^^

The only LEGITAMATE Shiny I've seen/caught is a Shiny Zubat, currently a Golbat, in SoulSilver, later trasnferred over to Diamond.

...Yeah.

The only shiny I legitimately captured, beyond Gyarados at the Lake of Rage, was this Geodude:

My one friend said that the only legit shiny he ever found in his life was a shiny Magikarp off the coast of Dewford in Ruby. He was a little kid and didn't know about shinies, so he let it go. XD

I have never seen or caught a shiny Pokemon. I wonder what the odds of seeing one are...

Legit shiny Pokémon.. I remember in my Pokémon Gold / Silver / Crystal (one of them) I managed to hatch a shiny Magby from the egg I got from the old couple.

Other than that, I got a shiny Hoot Hoot in that same cartridge.

In Pokémon Emerald, I managed to capture a shiny Remoraid as well.

In that same cartridge, I got a shiny Starly.

And finally, in Pokémon Black, a shiny Audino.

Sapphire: Fishing for Wailmer I came across a shiny Magikarp. Hooray. This was before even D/P/Pt, so I obviously evolved it and it's now worthless aside from the fact that it came from Hoenn.

FireRed: Whilst chasing down Team Rocket on Five Island I encountered and caught a shiny Pidgeotto, which I traded to a friend on a school trip once (Probably for something worthless like a Mewtwo).

I've also got a shiny Axew and Absol, both of which I got while trying to figure out RNG abuse in Pokémon B/W, so I don't count those.

I caught a shiny gothorita.

In Ruby I encountered a shiny Voltorb, which I could not catch because I ran out of Poke Balls (Though, it wasn't really a lost to me, due to me not knowing what a shiny was back then).

In my LeafGreen, my brother managed to catch a shiny Slowpoke, and we decided to "share " it.

My first actual shiny, though was my Totodile (Who is now a Feraligatr). It took 576 soft resets, but I finally owned a shiny Pokemon.

The last shiny I caught was in SoulSilver (Which was the same game I found my shiny Totodile), where I found a shiny Graveler when I was grinding up to beat the Elite Four.

I got a Zorua by breeding in black a mienfoo in Victory road in white but I have others though I don't remember right now.

Aside from the Red Gyarados, I've seen three.

Shiny Hoothoot in Crystal
and Shiny Electrike and Phanpy in HG. Hmm...

My first shiny was a shiny Floatzel, that same week I found a shiny Noctowl in the safari zone which ran away first turn, I was annoyed _._ I also have shiny Gyarados of course.

I have found a shiny Pidgey lv.2 on Pokemon Leafgreen, and hatched a shiny Oshawott.

I have seen shiny's The most though i seen where on my last soulsivler data before i started a new game. I found them in the sufarizone but couldnt catch them do to running away.
