My personal favorite would be Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
Here's something to make your day:

I can see a lot of people like thousand year door. I'm still waiting for someone to say Super Mario RPG. I know some people did but, I can't remember a game more memorable then Super Mario RPG. I can't wait for another Mario RPG game!

And you can't wait for another one? Bowser's inside story has just been released! You can't have done EVERYTHING on it already!

(Note to Charizard98: Sorry 'bout copying this. Didn't think it had already existed, I should've searched beyond Mario Gaming.)
I definitely like Paper Mario slightly more, though Super Mario RPG was also great. Mario and Luigi are okay, but they're more comedic than anything. |
Well, Mario & Luigi Bowser's inside story (The only Mario & Luigi game I've tried) was better than what I expected, it was a combination of platforming and RPG, something I really enjoy, but on the other hand, theres PMTTYD which just like everyone; it's one of my favorites. But as for Mario RPG, I've never really played it, but I have seen Chuggaaconroy's whole LP for it. So my favorite RPG series has to be Paper Mario. Awesome story, fun strategy while battling, challenging puzzles (Mostly in Chp. 7 and 8), and overall greatly made.
Mario and Luigi because the only Mario RPG game I have is Bowser's Inside Story. Well, exept Super Paper Mario, but that game had only one RPG battle in it.
But now that you mention it, I have played a demo of TTYD in a store a long time ago... *goes to Amazon and puts TTYD on wish list*
