With thanks to Serebii and PokéBeach for the information, it is now confirmed that Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 will be released in America on 07/10/2012, while in Europe on 12/10/2012.

Some localisation details were also provided:

• Pokéwood will be called PokéStar Studios.
• Shizui, the water gym leader, will be called Marlon.
• Tachiwaki City will be called Virbank City, as was leaked earlier.
• Your rival's default name is Hugh.
• The mysterious scientist is called Corless.

Or for those who don't use the day/month/year system, the US release date is 10/7/2012 and the European release date is 10/12/2012.

This is a twist. Usually there's a six month period between Japanese and US release dates. This time it's only a little over three months.

The sooner this gets out, the sooner they can get to work on my R/S/E remakes.

I think it is getting out sooner because they are planning to release another game a few months or so after. And they need to give us time before you whip us with more... right?

A tad later than I expected, but still, that's pretty fast. This month is nearing completion, so it'll be July soon. A little after a week in July's over and we only have 3 months to wait for the games. And for me, 3 months can go by pretty fast. I can't wait! *High pitched gleeful noise*

I was honestly expecting them to come out a lot sooner than this. At least they're coming out this year!

Where the heck do they get Marlon from?
What does that name even have to do with water type?

Marlin is a type of fish.... Marlon is a name. Makes sense.

Sorry to say, the Wifi is probably just gonna be exactly the same so it can connect with the other games in Gen V; Black and White and the other ones, because we know they're not done milking it yet. Better Wifi means "Black and White had very stupid and inconvenient, having either complete restrictions and 3 only, or forcing you to grind to Lvl 100 because there are no restrictions whatsoever."
And now that I think about it...why is Achroma's name Corless? That doesn't sound nearly as cool. .-.

Well at least i can get these maybe by the time my birthday comes around in Nov. But Like i do for every pokemon that is about to come out, i will re-breeding for the new stuff the games got or use my current pokemon and wait.

I would appreciate if you can tell me how to pronounce Hugh in the first place.

It's not really a spoiler, but you can personalize the Rival's name like almost every other game. I guess Cheren and Bianca were just default because they knew they were going to make a 2 year direct sequel, so they were forced default to add less confusion?
And I just need time to grow on Corless, Achroma's been etched in to my mind like Hihidaruma has instead of Darmanitan. It is a unique name and all.
Hugh's pronounced exactly like the word "Hue." That was his name in Japan, so they just directly translated it.

I'm naming him the first thing that popped in to my head. Trick. I don't know why, but it did. And I feel like it fits.

Can't wait to buy this game, I been watching a LP of it on Youtube and it look pretty cool.
