Nintendo has just confirmed the DSi LL. It is a DSi but with much larger screens. Now I know a lot of people are going to start complaining since they have nothing better to do. I am aware that the larger screens are going to stretch the graphics, but remember Nintendo has a very expanded audience, and that includes many people who don't have good vision and could use the bigger screens.
Yes the system's size will obviously be bigger (it's even bigger then the original DS). Size comparison:
DS?148.7mm?84.7mm?28.9mm
DS Lite?133.0mm?73.9mm?21.5mm
DSi?137.0mm?74.9mm?18.9mm
DSi LL?161.0mm?91.4mm?21.2mm
It will also be about 1.5 times the weight of the DSi/Lite.
The stylus has been basically upgraded to a full size pen.
The battery will last about 1-3 more hours then the regular DSi (depending on light setting)
It will also come pre-installed with three brain-training type games.
UPDATE 10/31/09:
The DSi LL (Also known as the DSi XL) will be coming to the US sometime next year.

The wine color looks pretty classy, and it matches the forum!

You know me, I gotta have every rehash.
I just hope it's not released SOON. I know it'll be out in Japan like that *snaps fingers* but I hope the American release is put off.
Having said that, the redesign looks pretty awesome.
I'm expecting a lot of comments on this thread like "omg no more uselsess remaeks nintnedon becuz no one will by them"
Well guess what, I'm gonna be buying them. I love my portable gaming. Any slight change in design makes my time all the more worth it, despite what people say.

I still cant believe theyre going through with this. Were getting a next gen system soon. But why release a new DSi not even 7 months after its release? I was one of the fan boys who went out and got a DSi on the release date. And ive been happy with it to. But honestly pay an extra 50-100 dollares for a bigger screen and stylus? I would recomend the DSi for anyone who is looking to buy one. But if you already have a DSi then save up for the next gen system. Unless your a nintendo fan boy and absolutely need this to add to your collection then i say go for it.

The DSi LL is basically the DSi's DS Lite. It's a facelift. The DS Lite doesn't have anything the DS does. It's just a remodel. But people bought into it. The same thing will happen here.
An undeniable fact, whether you think this is stupid or not, is the fact that the DS LL looks pretty sweet.

4 different DS'? Everybody already has one, why make more? I sense loss of money. |

Personally, I don't think it makes much sense to make another DSi, but if people want to buy one that's ok with me. I use a DS lite, which I actually only bought recently because my classic DS has been recently running low on batteries often, and I don't want to send it in for a new internal battery.
However, 4 DS's does seem a bit excessive, and LiteTheIronMan please don't respond saying how they're actually different than one another, because I know that they are but I usually use a DS for DS and GBA games, not all the other featurhes that the DSi has. Its a good idea for those who it appeals to, but seems like a but much for those (like myself) who don't buy every rehashed version of a system.
