Straight from Japan, the latest CoroCoro scans have leaked, showing off a plethora of new information on the games, which take place two years after the first pair of games.


The first scan (Pages 67-68) shows off, along with the release date of June 23 in Japan, a number of new screenshots, revealing that BW2 are based on the same engine as Black and White. In the upper corners, it shows Pokédex data for Black and White Kyurem. The only varying information appears to be the heights, which are 30 cm different. In addition, in the bottom right corner, it shows that there will be 300 Pokémon in the Unova Pokédex.

It's awesome that we finally get some new news!

I love how the regional pokedex will have 300 pokemon! Personally I'm just hoping Stunky and Glameow will be catchable in game for the first time since DP.

The new gym leaders look awesome but I'm now afraid that people will raise there expectations hoping for a dark type gym.

I'm also betting 50K that the Prof is really Ghetis in disguise.

My guess is when Hlibert/Hilda went to find Kyurem they ended up setting a course of events that would lead to Kyurem freezing over half the region.

Other then now I'm really pumped for this game.

Considering every new Pokemon CoroCoro "leaks" is fake, I take this with several grains of salt.

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised. Looks like old regional Pokemon are making their way into Unova, huh. Plus new Gym Leaders, protagonists, and rivals too? Man, this is starting to look like a massive overhaul of the old Unova. Plus, it looks like most of north and east Unova are covered in ice, due to Kyurem, no doubt. I'm guessing that your quest will involve restoring Unova to it's original state, I bet.

Given some other pictures, with a trainer with White Kyurem, Metagross, and Zoroark, while the other with Black Kyurem, Lucario, and another Pokemon I can't quite see...maybe there will be a massive overhaul with Team Plasma too. Who knows. Perhaps they may have two leaders, one seeking ideals and the other seeking truth?

Interesting new protagonists they've got there. They seem to be younger versions of the BW protagonists. As for the rival, he's got the same hair color as Cheren...hm, I wonder if this hints at anything. From what I'm gathering, it's the same as BW, taking place several generations in the future. Or maybe I'm just looking into it too deeply, I dunno.

Oh, and Meloetta's new form's released. Now we await Genesect.

I knew that freeze shock would be on black kyrem and ice burn on white kyrem, you should have seen that coming. 2 years later...i wounder if we'll see the trainers from b/w one? Plus if half of unova is iced, where are the gym leaders located i wounder? Maybe anville town will have a gym.

Only complaint: Pokemon don't follow you

So now we know it's a TRUE sequel set 2 entire years into the future after the events with Team Plasma in the first two games. This could mean that there is a new team... possibly or that N may make a return somehow, I doubt that but it'd be so cool if he did, especially after his depressing little dramatic goodbye message! More Pokemon in the normal Unova Dex such as the ever awesome Eevee and Metagross and maybe more to come is also a very welcoming plus! Heck, a new starting town in previously inaccessible and un-inhabited areas of the map?! AWESOMEEE! New areas and an underwater glass tunnesl! Ohh man... TPC... I love you~! <3
Yes I'm fangirling perhaps even on the absurd and annoying side, but you know what? I dunnn carezzz! I am jumping for joy almost quite literally right now! I CANNOT wait for this! It will be the best game ever~!

My guess is that the reason why Unova is covered in ice might be because when Hilbert/Hilda went to Giant Chasm to see Kyurem they most likely set off a series of events that lead Unova being frozen.

Wow! This is all very exciting!!!! And does this mean that some pokemon like Metagross, Lucario, Rioulu, Psyduck, Eevee, and Tyranitar are being added? and I do like the new water gym leader as it is similar to an avatar I used to have

The plot seems to be promising; more interesting than its prequel. Since it is two years from the original story, I wonder if the old protagonist is the champion, or plays a significant role in the story. Shouldn't he be considered a hero for awakening Zekrom/Reshiram? Maybe the current protagonists are trying to walk the same path the hero walked two years ago. And if N does come back, then it should be an interesting twist.

Another idea is whether this Water gym leader is the son of the second gym leader in BW (I forgot her name). Maybe she retired and he has taken her place. And yes, new useful areas are welcomed. Unova seemed empty after the main plot.

Wait...I'm missing something. Why are ya'll flipping out about Metagross and Lucario and Eevee. I know they weren't in Unova (did I mention my intense dislike for Unova) but they still had that Dreamy World thing right?


Also I hope they're not discontinuing the walking with Pokemon thing.

TPC has done it again. I'm really looking forward to this, especially creating an entire army of eevees! the plot! My only complaint is that the Kyurem forms won't change type. I was hoping for ice/fire White Kyurem, or ice/electric Black Kyurem.

I like how only I saw Torchik.

I know, what I was saying was nobody mentioned it.

I'm sure N will be in this, only because if White had N getting Reshiram and White 2 has White Kyurem, Reshiram must somehow return to Unova, likely with N.

Wait, so this is set two years in the future? WOW, I WAS RIGHT!? Shocker. I'm guessing N will come back to assist you in saving Unova from Kyurem's reign of terror.

Watched the trailer on serebii and seen that normal trainers move now. Also i did find something very odd, check this out:

Okay, new character design... Is that Princess Leia? And that dude next to her... is he part palm tree? And the other dude... a spruce tree? The guitar girl looks like she's balding and trying to compensate with long hair, tight pants guy has some MASSIVE bed head going on there, and... is that a professor? Whatever roll he has, his hair is impossible.

How can you take characters with hair like that seriously?

Regardless of record profits in the hair gel market, looks good. An actual sequel is good. Eevee being in it practically forces me to get it.

I the new rival looks like another charcter too but i cant put my finger on it.
