I have decided that, in order to increase posting OUTSIDE of the Games board, a new rule will be put in place:
If the Games board occupies over 50% of the forum posts, it will be locked until the percentage drops below 47%. In other words, please post more on other boards and less on this board.
As much as that does seem irksome, I agree on premise that way too much posting occurs on this of all boards. However, I would move to have the Text-Based-RPG subforum moved elsewhere if this policy is established, since it is less of a mere forum game than most of this board's content.
But perhaps making Games board posts not go towards post count would be an easier solution?
At the time of this post the Games board takes up 45% of the total posts on the board. I have talked with Cat about not having the Games and /buizel posts not count twards your total post count, but we are going to let it be because it's not like you gain access to new forums or anything. This isn't so much that people are constantly spamming the Games board, it is just that we believe this should be a forum for having conversations about Pokémon, Mario, etc and not just having a text-only XBox Live.

No deleting. We archive everything ('cept porn and illegal stuff), so I think they just need to be locked.
I was thinking of some kind of system where posting outside of Games and /b/uizel gives you points so that you are allowed to post in those boards. Posting in Games and /b/uizel costs points.
Is posting in the games board give members post counts. If it does, then just navigate that and even if people post here, they won't get any post counts, thus they get encouraged to post elsewhere. Many forums use this strategy.
Also, about Jared's comment, we can easily warn and even ban spammers so don't worry about that.

Uh, Shadow and Spirit of Time can you take it easy on the game boards? A lot of the recent posts are from you two.
