Hello,
I'm Unlucky Cloud, but you may call me either of those
I like to sprite but I'm not very good at tit, but hey, admitting your faults is step one to overcoming them
I also like to write (and I am good at this) but I have yet to publish a piece of literature of my own

Hey Cloud, welcome to VR ^^
I also sprite, but I can only do recolors
However, you may want to consider joining the VR spriting school if you are interested in learning new techniques. :]

Yes, it is very important to be humble and notice your faults. If you do that, you'll know what to improve.

I do pixel art quite often. If I could give some advice, practice pixel art and techniques related. Here's a pretty good introduction to the very basics. It's much more useful of knowledge than frankensteining parts together with copy and paste or recolouring.
