Personally, I use Microsoft Security Essentials on my desktop and laptop, on top of Windows Firewall.

What do you guys use?

Oh man, I gotta explain the **** that my dad puts on this thing? Okay...

Well, I use Symantec Endpoint on top of Windows Defender, running through Windows Firewall and then a physical firewall. Don't even get me started on that part.

It's so redundant. You know, having some redundancy can be a good source of extra protection, but there are times where there is too much protection. Extra protection comes at a (severe) performance cost.

Windows Firewall + Comodo Firewall + Avira Free + Comodo Antivirus.

It should be noted that Comodo AV and FW are a single program. And no there are no conflicts at all. Running the PC near nonstop with this setup for over 2 years now and no bluescreens or connection problems.

Windows Defender and Windows Firewall are the basic protection I use. On top of that, I have Kaspersky Internet Security 2012.

I use AVG. Before that, I used Avast before it expired. I can't afford to buy antivirus, so I just go with the best free one I can get.

If one were to ask about my desktop, then it's Windows Defender. Used to have AVG on it but it lagged my favorite games and such I like running on it too much, so I have it just on my netbook.

Teehee~ You might want to download Microsoft Security Essentials - it's really lightweight, and can directly replace Windows Defender, cause it's that + anti-virus + network intrusion protection (for Vista and up).
